| ![]() You really need to step up and tell your pom NO when he starts "terrorizing" the yorkie, then you need to put him in another room for a few minutes (1-2), then reintroduce slowly. If they are playing nicely, ok... when there is aggression going on it needs to STOP. If you continue to baby your pom and allow the yorkie to be beat up on just because you don't have a connection with him yet -- this situation will get much worse. Fighting over you isn't cute, and it can get dangerous if you don't step up and be the boss. |

| ![]() I agree. Please dont let your Pom do this to this Yorkie. Its abusive and if you cant stop them please think about rehoming the Yorkie. The Yorkie is going through so many changes as it is being in a mew home having new owners. He shouldnt be terrorized by the Pom too. |

| ![]() you are not alone with this. We got a rescue Yorkie 1 1/2 weeks ago. And he eat like never got food before. Now he does eat alot slower. He also marks his area. That is what the older gentleman taught him to do. The vet said beings not been fixed and almost 2 years old. That will probable not stop, so now he wears a belly band when out of his pen. He also was not use to being in a pen. But now when we are gone or he poops in the house he know that is where he has to go. Deiter also would not let Cozmo on my lap with out going after him. That now has subsided. I know where you are coming from with all that you are going thru. Hang in there. Just remember that they both have there own personality. That is what won my heart over with Cozmo. It took 1 week for me to get attached to him. Now I love him too..... Hang in there it takes time. But Cozmo is coming around slowly but we are working very hard with this.

| ![]() Thank you. I was begining to wonder. I was getting very flustered at first. But that just didn't get me anywhere. So I stepped back and looked at the whole picture and thought about how Cozmo must of felt going to a new place and not being with the only person he only knew. Now new people. Thanks for telling me. I needed to hear that. Thanks

| ![]() I think many of you are reading into this a little too much possibly. The words the OP is using to express herself shouldn't be up for criticism. Please try and be a little more understanding of where she is coming from... She has stated earlier she has always been used to having puppies very young and raising them diligently from the moment they step in the house. I'm sure you can see that it must be a rough transition to try and teach a 5 month old puppy when you are used to teaching 3 month old puppies. Also, I believe, this is her first time having more than one puppy in the house...which would be a big transition to go through as well... All we can do is be supportive and help in anyway we can. I know you are all discouraged, but let's cut her a little break. I'm sure this is very stressful for her. Good luck with your little ScoobyDoo! We're here for you. ![]()

Roles change, yorkie is bullying the pom now. They are just working out the boss order. Both are bullying each other but not hurting each other, both humping the hell out of each other. My only thing to do is permanently separate them both as I cant sit and watch them 24/7.

They are not aggressive to the point of hurting, just rough horsing around and humping each other. Roles changed since I made that post. Yorkie is coming out of his shell. They are eating together from same bowl and wont eat alone now without the other. So I dont think they are hurting each other and when I separte them, they both whine for their pal. They are boys, they play rough. By terrorizing I mean Pom was harassing him to play when he was not in the mood. Neither are hurting each other. I am NO fool to allow this

Thank you for understanding. That is the thing, the woman allowed his to poop and pee in the house becuase she had NO time to take him out as he was not a breeding dog or show dog anymore as he only had one testicle, so she had no time for him. She allowed him to do what he wanted. I have contained them to a small area and they are getting along nicely. Only when they play hard and rough the crap starts,m but right now both are chewing a pigs ears and side by side without a brawl. I dont understand why people must condem me for making an observation of their behavior. I am not a fool or idot that I will allow one or the other dog to LOSE THEIR SENSE of being. Good God man, give me a break. They are boys and they have to work out their status. And I am NOT babying my Pom he is a very independent dog, always was and always will be. He is not even mad when I comb the YORKIE now. And I will refer to them as Pom as yorkie for the reason I dont want to keep repeating myself as to who is who.

| ![]() Thanks for asking, each day brings new surprises. He is walking proud with tail up and head up. They are doing great, just rough horsing around and now trying to work out their status, they are inseparable, its one rackett when I separate them ![]() ![]() Last edited by soccbydo; 10-23-2007 at 11:07 PM. |
