| She is still limping as it is too soon, but she is moving a little more now. She even wants to play with her sister and run.

| Oh boy...running and playing Did you Vet give you home care instructions? Like I said before, with Roxy's LP (and she had it done 2x) - I was given very strict instructions that Roxy must be contained in a very small area for the whole 8 week recovery. I was told that each week she could have a little more 'monitored' walk time when she has to do potty, but other than that, she was to remain contained as to not re-injury her leg. Of course the leg needs to be exercised (minimally) - but the thing is, animals don't know that they just had major surgery and that they need to take it easy. As soon as they feel a little better, they just want to resume Yorkie life (hahaha)...anyway, I am sorry if I keep bothering you with my posts, it's just that I don't want others who have to go through LP surgery to think that once surgery is over, their little one can 'resume life' b/c it is at least an 8 week recovery that has to be taken seriously, otherwise, what's the point of surgery, right? I do hope that she keeps feeling better, sounds like she is and soon enough she will be 100% again. And let me tell you, that day is so amazing. |
