| Well, we went to the vet. He told us that 3 yrs old is about the time epilipsy will begin if they are going to have it. He went ahead and took blood to check liver and kidney function, as well as other things as he didn't want to make any assumptions. He said there was medication that he could put Connor on that would control it, but he didn't want to start the meds until he ruled everything else out. We won't know the results until tomorrow morning, so now we just wait. Connor seems to be doing fine. Acting normal and all, so your prayers are definitely helping. For the blood work they actually shaved a bit of his neck underneath and took the blood there. I meant to ask him why they didn't take it from the leg like they normally do, but forgot to. Does anyone know why they did it like this? Maybe because they needed more blood or something??? Anyway... thank you all for your prayers. I'll update as soon as I get the results.

| I think I"ve heard other members say that they take it from the neck if they are really small and the veins in their legs are too little, but I could be wrong... Prayers for Connor, hopefully, they will find the cause and be able to treat him successfullly.

| Hey guys! Thanks for your prayers. I talked to the vet today and he said the results indicated epilepsy. He hesitates to put Connor on meds though, as this is his first episode and Connor is back to his old self. Playing and happy. He wants us to watch him over the next few weeks and months and see if it happens again. He said to write down when it happens, how long it lasts and what outside factors could have contributed to it. I was sooooo relieved that he didn't just put him on the meds at the drop of a hat. I really like my vet!!!!!! So we'll keep an eye on Connor and see how it goes. And there are no problems with his liver or kidneys! Everything came back normal other than the epilepsy! I wish you could all use my vet... There are actually 3 of them. One of them has actually appeared on Animal Cops Houston. They rock!!! And because there are 3 of them, there's always one on call. And they will call you back. One of them walked me through the breech birth of one of Mylan's puppies on a Sunday night over the phone at no cost! They are so awesome! Thanks again for your prayers. And please keep praying that this was a one-time episode for Connor....

| Glad to hear he's back to normal. How wonderful that you have such trusted Vet's to count on. I don't know anything about epilepsy but I wish Connor the best!

| I'm so glad to hear the Connor is okay!! I just found this thread and was worried about the little guy. Just so you know, regular bloodwork won't show elevated liver enzymes until a good portion of the liver is not functioning properly, so if the vet feels like the seizures could be liver related, they should do a bile acid test or blood ammonia test. That's just an FYI... But it sounds like you have an amazing vet, and I'm so glad to hear that everything is working out with your baby. Hopefully no more seizures!!
