				 | Update Cali is home!! Sorry I didn't post yesterday but I stayed home from work to make sure Cali's homecoming was a smooth transition for her. I woke up early and cleaned the entire house. I then went and bought the dogs a new job (just in case the old bed had any germs on it) and I washed all their blankets and clothes. I also threw out all of their toys (in case of germs) and bought them a truckload of new toys. I just wanted to make the house as germ free as possible because the vet stressed the importance of NOT having a relapse. He said a relapse right now could be very bad for Cali. He said she's weak and needs time to totally recuperate and get back to her old self and for her immune system to build itself back up. Then around 12 noon I went to pick Jim up from work (he worked a half day) and we went straight to the vet to pick up Cali. My baby was so happy to be home!!! Codie and Tia went nuts when we brought her in the door!! They were sniffing her and kissing her like there's no tomorrow!! She seemed so happy to see them and she made me hold her all day. Every time Jim or I put her down, she cried to be picked up again. I guess she missed us. She is still on medicine and will be for 7 more days. Then I have to bring her back in for another check-up. She's also lost some serious weight. We weighed her before we left the vet and she only weighed 14 ounces!! She's so boney. So the vet told me to indulge her and give her cottage cheese, scrambled eggs and boiled chicken to help her put some weight back on. She should be around 1 lb and 2 oz or 3 oz. So that's my main focus right now. I have to make sure she puts some weight on and that this cold doesn't come back to haunt us!! Thank you all SO MUCH for all the calls and e-mails!! You guys are awesome! Cali sends a BIG PUPPY KISS to all of her special YT friends!

I know it will take a few more days for her to be totally back to her normal self but it still hurts me to see her this way. She's so think, it's killing me to look at her ... and she was thin before all this happened. She's a naturally TINY, thin little girl.

				 | YAY!! I assume you bathed the other pets, are they pad trained? I wouldnt let them out, it may have been something in the ground. I would try to use pads & keep them changed. You may have already thought about that, but just a idea? I am so glad Cali is home, take care. Dont forget some yogurt |
