Just hang in there, she will be fine. Just give her that mommy love you give her and she will be fine. Keep positive thoughts.

You're doing a fabulous job with Lily. It must get exhausting watching over her and an occasional "melt-down" is perfectly normal on your end. Get some rest and keep doing what you are doing and Lily will thrive. Big hugs....

You took on such a job with Lily-----I don't think I could do it, so don't feel bad about your little melt down, you are human and have taken on a huge task and responsibility.

Take care.

You're doing just great with Lily - I don't know what else you could possibly do ...I'm sorry she had such a bad night....

She's SO sweet looking and I really hope as she grows and gets stronger she starts to feel better. Hang in there and don't doubt she knows you love her. You can't ask for more than that. ALL THE BEST and keep up the good work

Kisses to little Lily.....She's so lucky to have you and your husband

Salina, I just read the post. How is Lily now? How did she do for your daughter?

Dont feel bad about getting a bit hysterical....I am sure its a combination of no sleep, emotions, and flat out scared crapless. You will learn Lily's whimpers and whines soon and know when is pain or just simply her making sounds...WHen Diggy was hypo, omg every little sound he made I thought SEIZURE, when he did have them he made some really weird sounds not whimpers but like he had a popcorn huck on the roof of his mouth...so when he chews his bully or slaps his mouth at all I PANIC. Your not alone and please dont feel silly or like your over reacting...you would not be the wonderful mom you are if you didnt feel an array of emotion you do. Remember I am here and you have my cell #, leave a message if I dont answer as I have on vibrate alot cuz of work....I will call right back. Man I wish I was closer....I know just having someone sit with you makes all the difference in the world. Thats all I wanted was someone to talk to thru Diggys ordeals, anything to just not feel that isolated panic. I am glad your family is helping as they told you they would in the beginning.

I have said this to myself a million times when helping Diggy.....I think I was going at it thinking I could fix him....I couldn't but I did realize I could help him and hold him, and never let him feel alone.

God Grant me the Serenity
to accept the things
I cannot change
courage to change
the things I can
and wisdom to
know the difference.

Take care. I'm always here.

That part where you said she would wimper when you stopped humming just broke my little heart. She seems to be such a doll, and I know you are doing all you can for her. I hope she's doing better today!

I work full time in the evenings so that makes it harder. I'm so fortunate that my husband and I work different shifts so he is with her in the evenings, and I am home all day. He's very good with her, I'm so lucky to have such a caring husband. Lily is very strong and is a fighter, and she has been eating very well. Her weight went from 13 oz to 1 lb. in the first 5 days, which made me so happy. I have not weighed her since last weekend, but I am going to do that next time I feed her. I do believe she has gained more because she looks a little bigger. I get sooooo excited when I see her gain weight. I've been trying to resist the urge to weigh her often because I'm afraid if she doesn't gain, I'll get discouraged. I decided to weigh her once a week because I feel I'll see more progress that way. She's one very sweet little girl, that's for sure.
She sounds sooooooooo adorable, are you bottle feeding her or tube feeding her. And after every feeding I am sure you are stimulating her with a cotton ball and mineral oil to make sure she pees and poops. You can tell a lot by the color of her poop, and wheather it is runny, or solid. Also her the color of her urin, also what does she weigh, I am sure you know how many cc's she needs and make sure she is getting plenty of food, and is kept very warm.

Sorry for all the questions but I have bottoled raised a lot of babies, and also have tube fed them. I am also sure your vet gave you how much she should be eating and what she should be eating. If you have any questions on anything you are welcome to PM me and I will give you my phone number, so if you need any help or support maybe I can help you over the phone. Just know I am here for you if you need anything I could help you with over the phone. My prayers are for both of you. Also did she get her mom's first milk, and is she in with the rest of the puppies and her mother or have you seperated her? You need to weigh her every day, as it depends on how much she weighs as to how much you need to feed her. You also need to make a chart for her, that has the date, her weight, how many cc's she drank, and if she pee'd or pooped. Weighing her once a week will not work, as you will not know how much to increase her milk. Also what are you feeding her. I want to do everything I can to help you keep you little baby alive, however she does need to be on a schedule. So please PM me or I will just PM you and send my phone number, and let me know about what you have been doing. Also let me know how much she weighs. Thanks!!!

Max and I are hoping that both you and Lily had a better night last night, and I hope Lily is doing better today. It sounds like you're doing a fabulous job with her! Bless you both!

Lily had a good night and has had a good day today. She hasn't cried and is playful when she's awake. She's eating really well and hasn't been constipated. I feel more hopeful today, but I have to remember that it's day-to-day with her. That's the hard part.

I want to thank you all so much for your kind words, prayers and support. It means alot to me and helps to know that Lily has alot of people pulling for her and praying for her. When I cuddle her, she gives me kisses and cuddles into my neck. She's so sweet, I love her so much.

Thank you again.

Wow, you have given me alot of very helpful information. Thank you so much!! I got your PM, and I will try to give you a call sometime this weekend if that's okay.

I don't know if you realize that Lily has Hydrocephalus. I will go into more detail when we talk. Thank you again.
