| Update on Tink Well, I've calmed down after a good night's sleep. Sorry folks- - I think I was a little stressed last night. First the good news. Tink continues to eat a little. Just 2 tablespoons of baby food and a handful of kibble yesterday but it’s food. She does like that chicken broth though. 1/3 cup of it yesterday. She stood up – kind of – last night when I was there, and promptly fell over. She‘s just weak yet and her back leg is still not strong yet from the surgery. But she tried and that’s good! Now the not so good news. She does have some neuro damage. The vet said she has palsy and head tics that may go away in a year or so or may never go away. The seizures he thinks will go away in a few months. He can’t tell yet if there is any lasting functional neuro damage. That’s one of the reasons he’s not letting her go home today. He wants to see her walking and pooping and she’s not doing either yet. So we wait. I am sooo disappointed. But I know it’s best for her to stay where she is. She will have to be on antibiotics for at least 2 months while the infection works it’s way out of her little body. Poor thing! I’m getting her a new dress for when she comes home and she has her new harness and leash and I think I’ll go shopping for something else tonight. I just found out that Old Navy has pet clothing. I didn’t know that. Tink, Tink, Tink, I miss you soooo much. Poop and come home please! |

| Aw, Susie, you're breaking my heart! You helped me so much with your kind words and reassurance when little Vinnie was in the hospital two nights to be neutered. That was just me missing him, I know not much can be said for your situation, but I really wish there was something I could do to make you feel better, I know the only thing would be for Tink to come home. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, let me know if you need anything. Maybe you could suggest something for Vinnie to send Tink that would cheer her up when she gets home!!!

| It is good that she continues to eat even if small amounts. The chicken broth was a genius idea - fluid and nourishment at the same time!!!! Let's hope the vet will be wrong about the neuro damage and it will just take some time for her to recover. I sure hope she poops and you cam bring her home tonight. Still praying for you and Tink. Stay strong!!!!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Aw, Susie -- after everything else, it sure seems like it should be a whole lot easier for you two than this! I think she'll be home before you know it. But it sounds like Tink is bouncing back, albeit slowly. So that is great news. C'mon Tink -- think #2, #2, #2 ... Hang in there. We're pulling for you! |

| Susie that is good news Tink is eating ,even though it's minimal. Every little bit counts. The doctor's always have to tell us the worst but that does not necessarly mean it will turn out that way. Little Tink is a fighter and I hope everything works out for her. Prayer's coming that it will. I hope she comes home real soon. Nothing like a mother's care and love to make the boo boo go away. |

You didn't miss my post because I didn't say anything until I began writing in yours, and all of my anxiety and saddness for Charlie poured over into Tink's news. I do hope little Tink will take a poop even if it is only a tiny poopie because she hasn't eaten enough to pass anything large. Do they docs even know how she would have contracted this "whatever you call it"? Look forward to reading your post tonight that Tinkerbelle is home with Momma or going home tomorrow. Love, Deborah and Charlie

| Hoping and praying for Tink and for you, I'm so sorry this is happening. But every day it does sound like she's getting a little bit better. Can the vets listen with the stethoscope, are her little bowels moving, they should be able to hear it...if they are, then it's only a matter of time for her to poop, remember she hasn't had a great deal go in...so can't expect a lot to come out. Hope she poops real soon, but I agree, as hard as it is...that she's in good hands, and she should stay there until she's really able to come home safely. Hugs to you...kisses to Tink, poor little thing, bless her itty bitty heart.

| Tink Pooped! Tink finally pooped. It's not much and it's really runny but it's poop! The vet spent some time with her this afternoon. He did a thorough neuro workup and another blood panel. He thinks that she will walk just fine in a couple of days. She's getting stronger and can stand on her own now although she's pretty wobbly. She ate about a 1/4 C of kibble today and drank about 1/4 C of broth. My little Tinkerface. So now the bestest of all news. She is coming home tonight! I get to go pick her up anytime after 9:00. I have to take her back once a week for a month to get a check-up and she has lots of antibiotics and food that she has to take. I promised that I would board her at the vet for a week or as long as it takes for her to be able to walk on her own and pee and poop without help. Halleluiah, Woopy, Yahoo! Thank you Father for helping my little Tinkerbelle get better. Thank you everyone for all the prayers and good thoughts and wishes and the PMs. Now I just have to get her healthy and happy again. |
