| Laurie Hunter - I thought you had one that Andrew just taped up really tight and you kept in a crate for a couple months and it worked? -- Colleen & Bailey in Ottawa |

| I am sure the vet will tell you whether to shave the leg or not. My little boy did not have much hair by time the splint was removed each week. They did try to cut it off the hair, but it still pulled. My boy actually wore the end down of his splint (it extended beyond his foot) Good luck and keep us all posted! Remind your son that it was just an accident. We all know he would not do anything on purpose to hurt the puppy. I am sure your son will feel better about it when he sees you feeling better. It is probably hard for him to see you so sad thinking he caused it. |

| I got my baby back. I am very happy about that. So sad to see her limping around though. They gave her a hot pink cast, but it is much longer than her leg so it is hard for her to walk. She is crying but I figure it is because of the cast. She shouldn't be in pain cause the sedated her earlier. They did give me some pain meds to give her at bedtime every day. I also asked about something to calm her if she needs it in case she starts wanting to jump around. She told me to try Benedryl first and then if that doesn't work to let her know. Of course this is only on a NEED TO BASIS.

| OMG she looks so sad!! Poor wittle girl! Yes, do keep her off that leg! Let it heal! Its going to be a rough 6 weeks but hopefully worth it in the end! If she continues to cry I would definately let your vet know that she seems to be in pain! I wish her a speedy and full recovery....

| Basically she just will walk to go to the bathroom. I am caring her everywhere. Right now she is sleeping. Yeah if these pain meds don't cut it I will be getting something else. I have even hand fed her so she doesn't have to stand at the food bowl. I tell you she will be so spoiled by the time this is over it isn't even gonna be funny. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I will keep you all updated on her progress.

| Thank you all for your well wishes. We really appreciate it. Yes I will be taking her to bed with me in her crate so I can keep an eye on her. I just gave her some pain meds to help her sleep tonight. She has been sleeping most of the time since we got back from the vet. I figure still from the seditive earlier. She hasn't eaten much today. Do you think I should give her some Nutri-Cal or just wait until tomorrow. She is drinking alot.

| First of all I am so very sorry that you are dealing with this horrible situation. It sounds like you are trying to do the very best you can to help your little one. I have no advice, so I'll just send you a hug . |

Also - so she doesn't have trouble going to the bathroom I'd ask what's good for her that won't cause the runs or block her up....The medication may do that to her so you probably need to be feeding her very bland food for a few days...a little boiled chicken and white rice would work I'd thin...but I'd stay away from the nutracal
