I am sure the vet will tell you whether to shave the leg or not. My little boy did not have much hair by time the splint was removed each week. They did try to cut it off the hair, but it still pulled. My boy actually wore the end down of his splint (it extended beyond his foot) Good luck and keep us all posted! Remind your son that it was just an accident. We all know he would not do anything on purpose to hurt the puppy. I am sure your son will feel better about it when he sees you feeling better. It is probably hard for him to see you so sad thinking he caused it. |
