Just wanted to see if there was any news on the latest test results. Why don't you ask your Vet about the PetAlive EaseSure Drops? See if you can find a list of the ingredients on their website - that will give the vet more info as to whether this would help Winston or not.You never know Hon, it might be more than just a coincidence that you happened on the Ad on Google, just at that very time! Aren't the pictures of our meetup wonderful? Those babies were just sooooo cute. I am sure I drove their Moms nuts - I kept on hopping into the pen to pick them up.... could not resist. It was so great the way they all played together, no scraps whatsoever. Maybe that is what little Winston needs to bring him out of his shell. Hugs, Lauren:bighug: |
The vet had to cancel his bile acid test today because she was home sick, we'll try again tomorrow. Right now I'm very worried about his next test...IGR...Insulin Glucose Ratio, I am praying that it comes back normal...but I have my doubts. His thyroid test was normal, good. But listen to this, his glucose was only 25...and he was not having a seizure, his phosphorous was low, not so good, and his ALT was high...again not so good. I guess what I'm trying to say is...he can sure use some YT prayer magic, and a whole lot of it...so please, for Winston, say a little prayer...my nerves are fried, I'm scared for him...and I'm mad at myself for waiting this long...but I know his glucose is low, and I know it's not because he doesn't eat...so something has got to be doing this...and I'm scared. |

OMG Kathy! I so feel for you.... how worried you are over your Winston. It's that helpless feeling that is the worst.... that it is beyond your control what is going on with his precious little body. If your vet cannot come to a definitive diagnosis, perhaps he could forward Winston's test results to one of the better know Veterinary Schools? They always have the most state of the art laboratories and diagnostic facilities. I know that years ago, when my Dad's Yorkie became very ill, his vet did this, a diagnosis was made and his little baby lived for another 11 years! I am sending prayers for Winston and big hugs to you for the day, Lauren:bighug::bighug: |
Hi everybody!!! Winston had the bile acid test today...insulin test will be done tomorrow...then we just have to wait for results, she said 1-4 days...the waiting and wondering is difficult. But his sugar was normal today...72....yea!!! She really suspects an Insulinoma, which is a tumor of the beta cells of the pancreatic islets...I am praying so hard that she's wrong!!! It's very hard to treat, medically and surgically and the prognosis is not good...I know I've been reading too much about it, and if it is he will for sure be seeing some type of specialist, I don't have a clue where the nearest place would even be...but will be checking up on that...Okay YorkieTalkers, do your magic...pray for my little Winston...pray really hard that the vet is wrong, gee, I never thought I would say I pray my vet is wrong...but I just want Winston to have a chance to get better, something treatable would be good news at this point. Thank you all for being here, and caring...I will let you all know, what I know, when I know it. LOTS OF THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS, PLEASE!!! |
Praying for Winston!!! |
You know you're both on my prayer list. 72 is great! Try not to get down in the dumps until we know what we're dealing with, FOR SURE! Keep your chin up. |
Kathy and Winston Kathy, I am hoping that Winston will be well soon, you will have a sound diagnosis and able to relax. It is so nerve wracking when our beloved pets are ill. Take good care of yourself and tell Winston that Deborah and Charlie send him a big hug. :love-hug3 |
