| Scruffy had a bad evening - temp was 103.9 last night. I called the Vet - I had to give a cold bath & put alcohol on his feet to bring temp down. Couldn't Blow Dry his hair - he was shivvering - had to keep wrapping him in dry towels. We went to the Vet this morning. His temp is down to 102.4 now. His blood tests show what seems to be an infection in the Liver. The only way to know for sure is a Liver Biopsy. The Vet does not want to do a Liver Biopsy unless it was absolutely necessary. He seems to be a little better now compared to yesterday. They sent Scruffy home with 3 drugs to take - Baytril, Centrine & Flagyl Some Hills Presciption A/D to add to his kibble because he has no appetite. Thanks for everyones Prayers!!!

| No - They did not do a Bile Acid Test. I still have alot of questions & that will be one when we go back into the Vet. Our regular Vet is on Vacation. I will have a list of questions for Him when he comes back to town. This was a relief Vet from New Orleans (very good & thorough). Thanks

Walking a little, he actually raised his leg to pee earlier! He had been peeing like a little girl, he didn't have the strength to raise his leg up yesterday. I know it sounds silly - but it is an improvement!!! He still has no appetite yet, doesn't want water either. Thanks for the SpyGirl Prayers!!!

| The Relief Vet just called for me to pick up some more meds. He didn't realize our Vet had this med in his office untill a little while ago. It is called Denosl 90mg - It will bring down the Enzyme Levels in the Liver. It is a 30 day box. We will try this & if it doesn't work next step would be Bile Acid Test. Scruffy seems to be walking a little more, just ate a tiny bit of soft food with new med crushed in it & a sip of water. Kim

| Hi eaglez 28, My yorkie is also on Denosyl, and I just wanted to let you know that by crushing the pill, it is losing all of its effectiveness. That pill has to be given whole and on an empty stomach. It should not be crushed, chewed, or split in any way. If it is, it's as good as not giving him any at all. Just thought I'd let you know. Most people don't know that, and the vets often fail to tell the patients this. Usually on the box, it will say this information.

I was just reading about that on the box & did a search on the internet. The website says to feed them supper, pick up the food, give the pill in the early morning & wait an hour then serve them food. Is this how you do it??? Please let me know.

| eaglez28, I usually give him the pill whole in the morning before he has eaten anything. And then I wait an hour to feed him.
