| Amber, I'm so glad to hear that she is doing good so far. Try to stay positive. I'm thinking that any potential damage would show immediately in the tests as her liver would be toxic right away from the amount. Let's hope that everything being normal is the best sign yet. I'm so glad the pharmacist paid out of his pocket as well. I'm sure he will be triple checking dosages for a long time. When little Daisy comes home, why not take her in to show him and thank him. Might help both of you put this behind you. Remember to take care of yourself, too. How is the ankle doing??

| Oh Amber I am so sorry to hear about little Daisy! I can't understand why that pharmacy wasn't more careful! Thank goodness you were able to catch it. Try and stay positive! You both are in my thoughts and prayers!

When our daughter was one year of age, we took her to an ER at hospital and they gave her meds and then she was prescribed the dosage according to instructions on the bottle, due to her condition worsening real quick after we left we took her to another hospital and gave the ER the meds that was prescribed from the other ER (the Pediatrician they immediately called in said the meds she was given was that for an adult weighing couple hundred pounds) she was admitted there in hospital for a week. Thank the Lord she pulled through and got okay. This all happened when we was traveling back home from the East coast, the latter hospital was in Holbrook, Arizona and the pediatrician they called in was wonderfull, I remember his name to this day. We lived next to a lady many years ago that was eight months pregnant and her pharmacy gave her someone else's prescription by mistake but labeled it with her name she ended up in hospital, baby came early. She and the baby were okay, but it just goes to show us we need to be aware of meds and dosage, just gotta ask questions. However there are situations when it is not in our control so we have to rely on them being responsable. We always double check on Jack's meds when each is refilled, recently they changed a number printed on one of his Parkinsons med and we double checked with another pharmacy about it. Also there is a lot of over the counter things that people shouldn't take if they have medical problems, Jack can't take any of over the counter cold meds, Any precription med prescribed besides his Parkinsons we ask the pharmacist to double check. We got a list of meds that should not be given to him and we carry it in our wallets. Amber please try to get caught up on your long needed rest, we all don't want you to get sick. Keeping prayers going for Daisy and you. (((((((((((((((((hugs to you))))))))))))))))) Patti and Jack Baby Blessing Last edited by Baby Blessing; 02-03-2007 at 11:20 AM. | |

| Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | I know a lot of people say god doesn't give you more than you can handle but i really hope that this bad streak is done because i don't think i can handle anymore. They are doing another round of blood work at 10pm tonight so i will be calling again at 11pm i just got off the phone with them she hasn't pooped but she had pee'd once she is eating a little bit and she is active (trying to pull out her I.V) lol guess she is my girl a fighter. If the pharm hadn't of paid or if they would have given me any grief i would've been banging down the door i swear. I feel better knowing she is doing good i just really worry about the long term affects on her brain and liver. We won't be clear until Tuesday on the blood work. Thank you everyone again it means so much to have your support. It's a real reality check when stuff like this happens and it sure makes you thankful for a lot of things you take for granted
