| a dog has 3 parts to the ear the outer middle and inner, an infection can spread in to each part, if it gets to the inner ear the drum can burst and the infection can get in to the brain so vets are a bit careful about useing drops as they cant see the eardrum. annie went blind in one eye cos there is a nerve that comes from the ear along the side of the face and up to the eye and the infection can travel along it. if the infection is just in the outer ear or middle ear the pills she is on will work but if its gone into the inner it can go in to the bone so she will need antibotics that can go in to the bone. an xray can sometimes show an infection. as your little one hasnt got any other symptoms she will prob be fine on the antibotics but make sure she is on them long enough. hope she gets better real soon.

| OMG are you serious?!?! If she had earmites, the vet should have known that immediately, they leave little black dots all insided the ear, and the yeast REEKS! That vet should really have known by smell and appearance that ears were the problem. And to put your poor baby through all the LS testing for no flipping reason, ugh! IMHO, time for a new vet. I'm so glad that your baby will be okay, though, that's great news!!!!!!!!!!

| puppy I hope you continue to get good results. As to the dry eye, it may need surgery to repair the tear duct..makes life so much more pleasant for them to have surgery. If she continues to spin after her ears are cleared up, I would still see the neurologist. |

Hugs to your baby and speedy healing prayers. Oh, just wanted to mention I also have dry eye and it is miserable, but I had the plugs put in and wish I had never, mine are miserable, I wanted the eye specialists to take them out but he said it was not that simple to do, etc. the use of the heater in the winter and the ac in the summer makes it worse on anyone with dry eye. I use the liquid tears and I use a vaporizer to get more moisture in our home in the winter months. Can you try this to see if it will help her with the dry eye. Patti and Baby Blessing | |

| the eye problem could be to do with the infection, as i said the nerve next to the ear goes right up to the eye so the infection can spread along it, it did with annie and made her blind in that eye, but where you little is on the right meds she will be fine as it will clear it up b4 it gets that far.
