Good for you! Sometimes you have to take treatment into your own hands to get someone to listen. Good luck and keep us posted.

| I wonder why they can't give an antibiotic just in case, even before they know what it is. |

Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Could She Have An Ear Infection? Prayers that your little girl will be fine. I am wondering if she might have an ear infection. It very well could be that she has an ear infection, that should be easy for him to treat. Did you have a stool test done, sometimes they need to do more than one to pick up on any parasites. Please let us know how she is doing. Patti and Baby Blessing |

| Best wishes for your baby. Along with everyone else, it sure sounds like an ear infection. Hopefully, the antibiotics she is already taking will help. |

| Test showed NO LIVER SHUNT!!!! :) The doctor just called and the results show NO LIVER! I called the vets office this morning before the doctor arrived.I told the receptionist my baby is scratching her ears and pawing that I think she has an ear infection and thats causing her circling.to please tell the doctor when she arrives. The doctor just called and said that may be whats wrongthat because shes so tiny she has to be careful what she prescribes. She is 5 months and weighs 1.6 pounds. She is on Clavamox now.The doctor is going to talk with other doctors to confirm what to do next.Any suggestions so I will know.Again Thank you everyone for all the advice prayers and for listening.xxoo

himself ? Our friends puppy had a fungus in its ears when she got it, and they had to do a flushing to clean them out and regular cleaning and it was fine. Please ask your vet about this maybe this might be what is wrong. It might not hurt to have another vet check her ears if she hasn't done so. Patti

| The doctor called! Spoke with the doctor this morning when just revealed no liver shunt and just now at 4:00.She spoke with the neurologist and they suggest keeping her on the clavamox. She says she likes other antibiotics but is being careful because of her tiny size.I REQUESTED that I come in and let her examine her ears.I also asked about an ear wash and drops at this point she says no.Maybe after looking at her she will change her mind. What do ya'll think?

| I'm sorry, but if my vet said NO to ear drops or wash and hadn't even LOOKED in the ears yet, I'd have to say time for a second opinion and possibly a new vet. JMHO;0 I hope that your baby is feeling better every day!

When was your little one last groomed and did they clean the ears and also did they do the neccessary ear care that is needed in grooming her? I was so happy to hear the good news on all the other tests. Patti and Baby Blessing

| So, maybe I didn't get this right, but the vet doesn't even want to see your baby??? Just keep her on the clavamox? I guess if it is an ear infection, the clavamox should work, but good grief...that puppy has to be checked to be sure of what the problem is. I hope you can get her examined and no for sure that it is an ear infection, and if not that, then figure out what it is. Good luck and best wishes! Maddie sends get well kisses!

| update on vet visit! Went to her doctor visit this morning. Both doctors checked her.She has gained 3 more ounces.Woo hoo!As of last night her spinning gas slowed down. She is sitting and eating on her own.If I think she hasn't eaten enough I hand feed her however she eats very well most of the time. She has been attempting to play with Smoochie. Her coat looks better.her eyes are clearer. Both doctors said they want to keep her on the Clavamox. They flushed her ears to remove debre.Since she is showing signs of improvement they did not put drops in her ears.Because the eardrum is so hard to see and if it's ruptured it will make it worse.I'm to call Thursday and let them know if theres any change. If there hasn't been any improvement we will see the neurologist.
