| PLEASE, everyone that owns a pet or has children SHOULD HAVE EMERGENCY NUMBERS posted by their phone just for these emergency occasions. The computer isn't the place to post and WAIT for somoeone to help. CALL YOUR EMERGENCY NUMBERS ASAP. I'm sorry I had to post this, but life is at stake. I wouldn't wait, CALL POISON CONTROL or GO to your Emergency Vet as soon as something happens like this. PLEASE KEEP EMERGENCY NUMBERS AT YOUR PHONE AT ALL TIMES. |

| To all who posted, thank you very much. I haven't had a chance to post all day, it has been very very busy. We got into the vet and he did a blood test, Straszny does have apparent kidney problems. The vet did say that there is no reason to give up hope on him though, he is still eating and drinking, and going to the bathroom. The reason for worry was the excessive urination and thirst. The vet has given him 3 prescriptions, 1 to lower his phosphate levels, another to help any digestive system ulcers that could have appeared, and on to lower his acid levels(digestive system). I got him to eat some rice and hamburger, about 1/4 of a cup. It is now a waiting game of nursing him, and seeing if he goes up hill or down hill. on a different note, Yorkie24U, please do not lecture me. I fully realize what you are saying, but do not speak to me as if I did nothing for him. I was doing all that I could, and I did come here for MORE help. You were not here, you do not know how things happened. There is NO emergency vet around, I live in a rural area. The vet said he could come in after he did his early morning "farm chores". If coming online is going to be reprimanded with attitude, then there is no need for a sick & injured forum. I am not disagreeing with what you said, but how you said it. Posts of that manner only discourage help on this site. That is all that I have to say to you. I do not need this. |
