Well Dr. Appell today said she has about 3-4 cups of liquid in her abdomen and he will slowly extract it as she is there...I am so very angry at my old vet for this...How do u not show signs of liver damage/disease/failure in blood work...Or at least do an x-ray on her...

So I am praying my girl recovers, Dr. Appell said he is worried about her and her condition right now is guarded...

I am totally devastated and have been crying all afternoon over this...She is still a baby

Sam, this is an EXCELLENT office! I've gone there MANY times (even recently when a groomer sliced off a chunk of poor Tia's ear and she had to have immediate surgery). They arew wonderful and the staff is so loving to the pets!!

I am not doing anything today. Jim is working a half day and all I have to do is my laundry and them go to Pet Delight to get some dog treats. But other then that I'm free. If you need anything or just want some company, CALL ME. I'm going to PM you. Don't worry babe, Sammy girl will pull through.

GET WELL SAMMY!! Come home ... the weather is beautiful and it's a perfect day for a walk down on the board Wwlk at Brighton Beach!!

I just spoke to the vets office...They said she is up and about and doing well...They are going to try and feed her...If she does not eat on her own they will have to force feed her...

I will call periodically through out the day for updates on her...

Hi guys--

This was my first full day without my girl...and it was awful...I tried to go out and get stuff done but I found myself only thinking about her and praying she gets well...I havent cried this much in a while

I spoke to the vet at about 7pm, he said she is the same...She still will not eat on her own so they have to force feed her and he wont know results til her sonogram monday and liquid test from her abdomen monday too...

Please please continue to pray for my girl...I know she is a Yorkie and she is a fighter! but she needs them!!

Poor little Sammi and my heart goes out to you! I'll be praying for her to be healed from whatever it is that's causing this illness. I'm so sorry you're having to go through this! Sending hugs and best wishes!!!

There is still no change this morning...The vet said she has not gotten worse, but she has not gotten better either...Tomorrow we will find out the results of her new blood test, the results from the liquid that he extracted from her abdomen and she will have a sonogram...

Continue to pleasae keep Sammi in your thoughts and prayers...

im so sorry to hear your baby is ill i hope she gets better soon. if its just a infection she should get better quite quick as the liver is the only organ that can renew its self, my zac had liver damage after he eat plastic that was toxic when he was about 4, he was in a terrible state and nearly died but after meds and loving care he was better in no time at all and hes 12 now.
