|  I took her to 5th Avenue Animal clinic on 91st and 5th in Bay Ridge...Dr. Appell came very highly recommended... I wanted a 2nd opinion on Sammi's blood test that I took on Monday 8/8, because my vet said she was just anemic... I took her for the blood test Monday because for the past week she had been very mushy, shaking (as if she was cold) her abdomen was swollen and not eating like she had been...So he ran a blood panel and said she was anemic and her abdomen was not swollen...He gave her amoxicillin and hi vite drops and we left...Well I wasn't happy with that, so I wanted a 2nd opinion because at this point I was scared, esp. about her abdomen... Well Dr. Appell today said she has about 3-4 cups of liquid in her abdomen and he will slowly extract it as she is there...I am so very angry at my old vet for this...How do u not show signs of liver damage/disease/failure in blood work...Or at least do an x-ray on her... So I am praying my girl recovers, Dr. Appell said he is worried about her and her condition right now is guarded...  I am totally devastated and have been crying all afternoon over this...She is still a baby

| Poor little Sammi. We are praying for her. How could your 1st vet miss that? Get better Baby Girl, Mommy misses and needs you. Hang in there Fran, it sounds like this vet knows what he is doing. |

| Fran, I just now saw this. Sammi is just a young girl! I can't believe it. I've really, really missed her precious pictures you always posted. She's a stunner! I'm praying for your precious girl. Keep us updated if you can.

| As of last night she is still the same...He says she is weak, but comfortable...He is giving her iv, vitamins, fliuids, foods, meds...I miss her so much...To wake up this morning without her over my head really hurt...I cannot stop thinking about the things I could have done to prevent this...But I cant...Right now she is in the best care and I have to take this day by day...I am trying to be strong for Sammi as well as Sophia, who knows her big sis is not here right now...She looks all over for her Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers...I will keep you posted when I get more info... XoXoXo
