| Liquid in lungs So I just got back from the vet and it turns out Bella doesnt have a kennel cough. She has liquid in her lungs and in infection but they dont know what kind yet bc they have to send it to the lab. when i asked my vet if she is going to live he said he didnt know. he told me to put a vaporizer for an hour a day twice a day, he also said to put 3 drops of vitamin e in her food. i dont know what to do..i am sooo scared. i am going to get a second opinion in an hour...what does everyone suggest i do???

| I'm so sorry. I have no suggestions other than just love her and keep a close watch. I'll start the prayers coming. Ask the 2nd vet if starting an antibiotic is a good idea until they positively identify her infection. Seems like this would make sense...

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Oh no - could it be pnemonia ? Poor little thing - I think for this I WOULD get another opinion....I don't know what the vitamins would do but it sounds like maybe she should be in the vets care - Did they start her on ANY medication for the infection ? I hope she gets to feeling better soon ...That's scary but not untreatable if that's what it is....GOOD LUCK and all the best ! |

I agree. I'm no Vet, but I am a nurse and it sounds like a strange therapy to me. 2nd opinion is in order!! Does your baby act sick?

| Sending prayers your way! I am sending prayers Bella's way! I pray that she will have a speedy recovery. I know how hard it is to see your baby so sick. I've been there. It sure sounds like you are doing all that you can. I know it's hard to be away from them, but the best place for her is in the hospital where she can get care 24 hours. My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. Get Well Bella!
