put a warm wet paper towel on her butt i use to do that when brownie was a baby it would make him poop right away

Does she eat rawhide chewies or greenies? If the poop problem doesn't resolve itself, you might want to check with you vet. As far as the pumpkin goes, you're supposed to use PLAIN PUMPKIN, which you can buy in a can. You're not supposed to use pumpkin pie filling as it has sugar and spices in it. I bet Jazzy really enjoyed her pie this time but in the future, stick to the plain canned pumpkin.

This happened to my Jazzy about two months ago. The vet said to give him a stool softener. I used a generic from Wal Mart. It's main ingredient is docusate sodium 100mg. It worked for him. I would not give him an enema, unless a vet said to and then I probably would want them to do it. Check what he has been eating. I was feeding Jazzy a lamb roll and when I went back to dry, he was fine.

Lawd I wish I would've known that. When I saw the post canned pumpkin I didn't think it really mattered. We bought 100% pumpkin in the can but it had a picture of a pie on the front.

I haven't had a problem with her eating she just isn't poopin. I'm going to call the vet in the morning and see what he says being that he just saw her on Friday.

Please try 1-2 tablespoons of applesauce.
If she is able, take her on a long walk, bring water.
She should go in about 2 hours.
Always works for me.

My Spence did not go for 36 hours one time, then normal (but big) poops.
