| Constipated Jazzy Jazzy hasn't pooped in over 24hrs. I've been reading threads about giving her canned pumkin and mineral oil. Do you think I could give her a childrens enema (sp?) instead? I'm not sure and before I go and buy some I wanted to check with YT members. |

| I have found that just giving them a good lick of Nutristat helps them to poop. Plus it's really good for them too. |

| I have experienced what an enema does to yorkies and I would advise against it. Hallie had the worst experience and I will never forget it. It was awful and so sad. Try the other ideas before doing something as drastic as an enema. |

| I would continue with pumpkin and Nutrocal for another day, then call the vet tomorrow. I wouldn't do an enema. How is she eating? |

She's eating fine. I actually have not seen her trying to even poop but i'm wondering why she hasn't in well over 24 hours. Yesterday morning she did have poop stuck to her bum so she needed a bath. Since then no poop.

LOL...Jazzy has NOT pooped yet. She at the pumpkin pie..lol 2 hours ago and she did like it but no poop also she doesn't seem as active today as usual. I'm like lawd did I traumatize my baby by letting her stay with my sister all day yesterday. If she hasn't pooped by the morning I'm definetly calling the vet. I didn't change her eating routine or food. Did take her to the vet on Friday and he gave her some treats. I'm wondering if that did it.

| If she is not trying to poop I wouldn't get to worried about it. Whenever mine have gotten constipated they generally keep trying to poop. Are you sure she hasn't snuck one out behind the couch or something?

Nope not at all. She's not as active as she usually is today and Jazzy is VERY ACTIVE. She's been laying in her lil bed most of the day.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali went 5 days with out poopong and I took her in and they weren't concerned as long as she wasn't trying to go and couldn't. They did Xrays because she was throwing up. The Xray showed their was poop waiting to come out and it had a little piece of metal in it, a rhinestone from my dtr cellphone. She ended up having surgery because teh Xray showed a possible blockage and spaying her. There was no blockage but when I got her home 2 days later she didn't poop for 3 days. Then when she did it was just like normal. You would think she would have a ton. Hopefully she will go soon.
