| ![]() Hi Israel, Mrs. Israel & Chelsey, I found information on a web site. It may be something you want to discuss with Chelsey's doctor. http://www.eyevet.info/sards.html I was very happy to read Chelsey is improving. I understand how helpless you can feel not knowing how to help her. But keep on praying for her (I will too!) and give her LOTS of encouragement, happy thoughts & LOVE her more than you thought you can! Please keep posting her progress.

| ![]() Just off the top of my head - I think the "steroids" were your miracle drug. I don't want to frighten you - but if your pup has a brain tumor or had any other type of cerebral or optical swelling that caused her temporary blindness ------- steriods often work wonders by reducing swelling and fluid accumulation. I hope your pup's improvement is more than just temporary, and I hope whatever was wrong with her is gone for good and doesn't return. Again - please keep in touch with us and let us know how your puppy continues to do. Carol Jean |

| ![]() Israel, My heart goes out to you and your wife.I hope your yorkie starts feeling much better everyday. You sound like my husband. He's a very strong hardworking man with a tough exterior. He has cried with me when my yorkie was diagnosed with a liver disease. We mostl likely have another surgery down the road for his Luxating Pattella as he's been carrying his leg for aabout 1 minute until it snaps back to place ![]() Please keep us updated on your little furbaby.I have also read of these symptoms somewhere on YT. | ![]() The same thing is going on with my Yorkie, same age same weight. Some days perfectly normal, then the next walking into walls and hyper salivating. Blood work is normal, no worms. Vet has no idea whats going on. She just tells us to give the dog love and attention. Isreal please update us on what happened to your little one. and if the steroids knocked the funk out of the system for good. thanks Jon |

| ![]() bile acid was taken today. he was bad this morning pepped up when we took him to the vet and right now hes walking into walls again and drooling like crazy. Bile test results wont be in until monday. hopefully hell make it til then. Cooper had a liver shunt when he was young. and we had surgery done to correct it. theyre also suggesting an ultrasound. and thyroids looked at. ill make sure to keep everyone updated. i wish we knew what happened to isreals dog two years ago. it would definitely help out, since it sounds like the same thing is going on, and we cant figure it out. Were up to $1200 in tests and still no diagnosis!!!! |

| ![]() Sounds like he blew another shunt and/or he has MVD as well. Is he eating special liver food? Do you have him on Lactulose? His walking into walks and drooling are symptoms of HE caused by the build up of toxins. Please give us some more info as to what he is eating and what supplements he is getting to aide his liver? Liver Shunt dogs need a special diet and supplements for life.... |
