| Is this blood panel of concern? Teddy had blood taken for dental and I was told to not worry about these readings and come back in after a month for a retest. I have scoured the internet and get a lot of conflicting information regarding if I should worry or not... Can you guys have a look and give me your thoughts/experiences? No horror stories, please, I just want facts because my heart will break if I think anything is seriously wrong. I'm not ready but hoping for reassurance... The vet won't even discuss it with me and I have tried to broach it twice but they keep telling me nothing to worry about and check back in a month... Thanks x |

| There are many things that can effect that liver number things relating directly to the liver and things that don’t. Even bad teeth can cause a raise in that number. Have you compared it to other blood work? Some dogs have normal highs or lows with somethings.

I don't know what previous bloodwork reads. This would have been taken 5 years ago at the last dental. So, I guess see what happens in a month and ask the question at the time? Hard to not worry, as he gets older, about pretty much everything! | |

| This is why I and a lot of people recommend yearly bloodwork so you have a base line and things to compare it to when they get sick or just to see if their normal is a bit higher or lower then normal. Dixie has a few numbers that are a little higher than the normal high but it’s been like that since her first blood work which was 6 months before her spay. My vet also will not refill our heart worm medication until she does a yearly heart worm test.
