This is why I and a lot of people recommend yearly bloodwork so you have a base line and things to compare it to when they get sick or just to see if their normal is a bit higher or lower then normal. Dixie has a few numbers that are a little higher than the normal high but it’s been like that since her first blood work which was 6 months before her spay. My vet also will not refill our heart worm medication until she does a yearly heart worm test.
