So she went to Westminster - that doesn't make her a good owner in any way, shape, or form. It means she went to Westminster and that's it. Why would you think that equaled being a good owner...? I'm mystified that you keep trying to justify this person's treatment of this poor dog. If you justify the mistreatment of a dog, what does that say/mean about you...? I wish you'd think about that. I'm sorry for being so frank about all of this, but it seems to me that you just aren't seeing this clearly AT ALL - mostly bc you're more concerned w/ justifying the human's behavior rather than standing up for this HELPLESS creature. And that, to me, is incredibly sad and tragic all around . Why not turn this situation around - learn something from it, and then DO something about it...??!! ***We don't delete threads here, btw, unless they break YT rules.

| Omg. Please take this poor baby to the vet. Oh, and westminster has nothing to do with being a good owner- clearly! Since this person is letting a baby suffer. I've never been to westminster. But you better darn believe my dogs eat the best of the best food and see the vet when they need it!

You can not know this if you are just a bystander. But as a longtime dog owner = the default assumption with sudden loss of ambulation and appetite a dog is a) sick and b) in pain of some nature. I do so hope that dog goes to the vet for treatment soon

You said your friend is "giving him antibiotics that isn't too old as well as chicken soup. He's lost weight and can't walk, etc. I think it is serious..." Why is she administering some not-too-old anitbiotic? The Yorkie can't walk and has lost weight but "not in pain"? No human can tell whether a dog is in pain. Ever. If the dog cannot walk, then surely he is in pain. You can't blame readers for the responses based on your posts. So she goes to the Westminster, so that gives her the right to not treat her dogs properly by seeing a vet? ![]() Forget the criticism you're feeling and think about the dog that you initially were concerned about and do something about it. Please...not for your sake or your friend's sake, but for the dog's sake.

Veggienut, I agree with everyone above to encourage your friend to get her dog to the vet.

| Her Yorkie passed away. She finally took it to the Vet and the Vet told her that her Yorkie had Uremia and she had sores in her mouth and that was the reason she could not eat. I know she should of taken him to the Vet before she did, but she didn't. I begged and pleaded with her, but she just could not. It is not my business to butt in and tell her since it is her business but so many people I talked to about this told me she was wrong, just like y'all did. Anyways, the Vet could of put her Yorkie on fluids and dialysis but she didn't want it. |
