How do you know this poor dog is not in pain - you can't know that in any way. When a dog loses weight and CAN'T WALK, there is very likely excruciating pain going on. You don't know what this dog is feeling or going through.
So she went to Westminster - that doesn't make her a good owner in any way, shape, or form. It means she went to Westminster and that's it. Why would you think that equaled being a good owner...?
I'm mystified that you keep trying to justify this person's treatment of this poor dog. If you justify the mistreatment of a dog, what does that say/mean about you...? I wish you'd think about that.
I'm sorry for being so frank about all of this, but it seems to me that you just aren't seeing this clearly AT ALL - mostly bc you're more concerned w/ justifying the human's behavior rather than standing up for this HELPLESS creature. And that, to me, is incredibly sad and tragic all around

.
Why not turn this situation around -
learn something from it, and then
DO something about it...??!!
