Thank you for your kind thoughts. Kinoh is home and showing signs of emotional scarring. The vet has stitched his damaged eye and we are treating it with eye drops. Will know this weekend if he will keep/lose his eye. Tnx for the advice.

Also, I would never let him outside unsupervised as they can also eat or choke on things they find, even if an animal is not involved. There are way to many things that can happen. I hope he doesn't have lasting issues. Good luck.

Thank you for your kind thoughts and advice. A stuck gate and hyper speed yorkie def not a good combo. Kinoh is recovering well considering all the injuries.

Never assume any dog big or small is friendly even if the owner says they are many owners over estimate their dogs friendliness and even if they are friendly they can be overwhelming to little dogs. Hopefully your dog will not have issues but please never force it to be friendly if it is acting shy let it be don't force the issue as your poor baby has been through a traumatic experience. Some accidents can never be fixed but with love and understanding hopefully your baby will not be fearful but if it is it is not your Yorkies fault. Best wishes for Kinoh.

Thank you for your kind thoughts and advise. A stuck gate and super fast yorkie was an unfortunate incident. My lil boy is home and recovering well with lots of love. The Rotts belong to neighbours and recently lost their puppies. They pull my baby boy thru a gap in their fence. Unfortunately their owner travels for work is not always home. Luckily other neighbours helped us to subdue the Rotts thru the gate and my hubby jumped over to get Kinoh before more damage was done. Lifetime regret

For the future, try to always think of your puppy as a HUMAN baby or toddler....would you put your infant child outside unattended? Would you let your enfant baby play with two Rotties? Would you let a stranger in a store or shopping mall, hold or watch your enfant child? Would you leave your enfant child in your car, unattended? If you try to think of that puppy along those lines, it helps you make decisions about just how much freedom or unsupervised attention you allow for your puppy. I personally would never allow any of my Yorkies, most especially a 12 week old puppy, around a large dog of ANY kind, let alone TWO adult Rotties. Even if they had just put a foot on that baby's back, playing, they could have easily broken his back. If they had been rough housing over possession of a toy, they could have easily broken his neck as they jerked him around trying to get the toy from him.

As a breeder, this absolutely breaks my heart.....I would be inconsolable if this was one of my puppies. Sometimes I question the measures and the steps I take when interviewing and approving my buyers, recommending specific books to be read before the puppy is picked up....questioning and suggesting and discussing and reviewing.....alot of people dont like that much "intrusion" or "guidance" with how and what they do with that new puppy, but I would clearly be blaming myself for this unfortunate event...what did I miss that I could have helped you with? What did I miss that could have given you guidance with this poor baby, in your decision making, so that this would have never happened.

When you get your baby home, take it slow and easy....you are going to have to be very patient with him....he may not ever get over this encounter with large dogs or another dog, at all. Not his fault.....he essentially may suffer from PTSD from this. It really is not all that big of a deal to allow your baby to play with strange dogs....all that group play is not a necessary part of the emotional development of your Yorkie...if you want that type of interaction with neighborhood dogs, get a DOG....something that has a fighting chance in defending itself! Yorkies are scrappers and will play or take on any dog, regardless of the other dogs size....and that is the number two cause of death for Yorkies (used to be, havent checked the stats lately). I know there are lots of members who will vehemently disagree with this thought process of mine...but it only takes once for my fears to come to pass....and you are living that right now. Rather safe than sorry, I believe.

Praying for your precious little baby....

I also thought that my fence was secured and still I don't know how 2 pitbulls got inside my backyard.

Called 911.....they sent an officer and later some people (not sure what agency) .....the owner refuse to surrender his dogs.... but agreed to take them to SPCA. ( I threatened to press charges if he didn't surrender his dogs).
Officer told me I was lucky that the dogs didn't attack me or my other Yorkies.

Thank you for the advise. We do not have a doggie door. Our property is fully secured and only accessible through one sliding gate. When the gate is opened, my lil boy gets 'locked up' in the house until the gate auto closes. Not realising the gate hadn't closed properly, Kinoh was let out and when I realised that the gate was not closed, I ran after him but this speedy boy was no match for me with a head start. Kinoh is fully supervised as we have live in help but still.....

What wonderful news. I hope he will recover from his injuries and not suffer from post traumatic stress. A lot of people are unaware that even with a gate a dog or neighbor's dogs can easily dig a hole and drag a pup under, I know I was. When I brought Buster to visit my parents I was wary of the neighbor's dogs in back of my parents house. We were in the back yard and he wanted to investigate and say hi, luckily I had Buster on a leash and I never would have let him close but I was shocked when one of the dogs lunged at us a tried to dig under the fence. I quickly scooped Buster up and we went into the house. I know if one of those dogs had gotten a hold of Buster they would have dragged him under the chain link fence.

A horrific nightmare for you and that sweet little baby. Please keep us up-dated on his recovery, Kinoh has a lot of Aunties here on YT that are concerned about him. (((HUGS)))
