Hopefully it was just a rough case of gastroenteritis secondary to a bug or something he ate and nothing bad. Praying for good news after re-testing!

Wow Michelle! I have been Mia lately, only popping in now and again through thread updates that show up in my email and I was shocked and worried to see little couver's name come up with a title like that! I just read every single page and every single post and I am so sorry to hear what you and your little man have been going through

when I heard the symptom description I immediately thought giardia- and then was not surprised that it isn't show up in the labs because I myself had it for a month and the drs couldn't detect it- I was miserable! Then When I heard panacure it sounded like they were erring on the side of caution and treating your buddy for that anyway- I am so sorry to hear it sounds like he may have had a nasty reaction to the medication! I hope couver's protein levels are back up where they should be and that cookies unfortunate illness and cancer can be ruled out for your guy and this whole episode be a bad gastrointestinal memory of the past! I hope your man is recovering and that you are too and the vet says yup- Ibs! And it's over, whew....

Thanks for checking in on Couver! He is still doing great and we are just finishing up the suculfrate. He has a check up next week and we will do bloodwork again to check his protein levels.

I cannot believe that he got so sick. It is a helpless feeling not knowing what is wrong and having him feeling so sick... Thankfully he is back to his normal self, and we are hoping to get a diagnosis of the issue.

So Couver had his blood work done again last night. The vet was able to call me with the results and she said that all of his protein levels are back within normal ranges. I will get a chance to chat with her more today when I pick the results up, but this is promising news!!

So I got home from work today and found two small piles of vomit. I am assuming it was Couver. They were just liquid, so I could not determine for sure if it was him, Khloe or the kitties.

Here are his blood work levels. A couple levels are elevated, but the protein and albumin are within normal ranges:

Albumin (ALB) 2.8 (Healthy range- 2.3-4.0)
Alkaline Phosphate (ALKP) 64.0 (23-212)
ALT/SGPT (ALT) 73.0 (10.0-100)
Amylase (AMYL) 495.0 (500-1,500)
Calcium (CA) 10.3 (7.9-12)
Cholesterol (CHOL) 148 (110-320)
Creatinine (CREA) 0.7 (0.5-1.8)
Glucose (GLU) 96.0 (74-143)
Phosphorous (PHOS) 3.1 (2.5-6.8)
Bilirubin, Total (TBIL) 0.1 (0.0-0.9)
Protein, Total (TP) 6.2 (5.2-8.2)
BUN 30.0 (7.0-27.0)
Globulin (GLOB) 3.4 (2.5-2.5)

I attached his blood work from a couple weeks ago to compare his levels.

I remember a while ago Couver had blood work done and his BUN levels were off, I am off to search for that thread to see what his levels were.

His BUN levels were 31 in July and went back down to 26 in April, so I'm thinking those are normal levels for him. I guess I should look into why the amylase is so low. The vet was in the middle of surgery when I stopped in to pick up his blood work, so I'm hoping she can give me some answers tomorrow when I call.

My spud Wolfe his food down and then threw up. I thought oh no but now I really cut his hills
