Cry injured and sick puppy

hey guys, i just registered here today to post a questions.
my dog just gave birth to 7 puppies 2 days ago, and now the other one puppy who I only noticed yesterday is injured, i think its his mother's fang, when she tried to lift her puppy i think because he's only new born, she accidentally put a little pressure when she lift him and her fangs accidentally stabbed at his shoulder.
and now he's cold not warm like the others, and won't feed to his mother, even thought i can see he's fighting to keep alive, what should i do, i don't think he will survive till tomorrow, but i don't want to think about that, i want to do all i could do just to make him stay alive..

You really only have two options....emergency vet NOW, or try to keep warm and fed until the am. Two days old is very, very touch and go...to be honest, this is probably not good at all. Will mom nurse the pup? What kind of dog...seven pups seems like a rather large litter for a small breed dog. Do the other pups seem healthy? Is mom doing okay? Is your vet aware that the dam has given birth?

yes all puppies are healthy, he's the only one who look a little thin, the mother is taking good care of him yesterday, but seem to give up when i checked this morning. he's wound is wet and having a discharged. i think i need to feed him cause he don't have any strength to feed in his own. but i don't know what milk to feed him. as for the vet, it's too expensive, i might not have enough money to buy him medicine and milk if i take him to vet. i touch him earlier and feel he's cold compare to the others. i think it because of his wound.

Keep that pup warm!! Keep the pup fed. Surely you have on hand a syringe and can warm the milk replacer you must have on hand. Every 2 hours around the clock.

Are you using a heating blanket underneath the whelping box? Move that pup into the Mom constantly. Which means you are in for some sleepless nights.

Does your pup not suckle? Does it have the reflex suckle action?

When you noticed your very young pup was injured, what did the vet say when you called them? You do need to be in constant contact with your vet and or your whelping coach.

I do pray your pup makes it.

If that baby is NOT sucking, it has no gag reflex.....very dangerous to drip milk into a pups mouth that has no swallowing reflex.......learn to tube feed this pup.....

My heart is absolutely BREAKING for this dying baby. He apparently has a systemic infection from a draining wound, you do not have the finances to take him to a vet for the medical care needed to keep him alive....you can NOT feed a COLD baby, as the food given will not digest.....I am certain you have no experience tube feeding a weak puppy, but feeding is out of the question as his organs are shutting down....this baby is weak and can not suck, so tube feeding is your only option.....but you can not feed a cold baby. This baby must be seen by a vet immediately....if you can not afford vet care, and even purchasing formula is prohibitive financially, is there ANYONE that you can take that baby to and just give it to them to see if they can do SOMETHING to keep this baby alive?????? Please do not let this poor little innocent soul die with NO medical intervention of any kind. How tragic....were these babies seen by a vet right after they were born??? Did the vet not see the injury??? His momma has given up on him now.....poor little precious baby..........so unnecessary. I am soooooo sorry for this momma and her baby..........

I know you are in the Phillipines and there is the time difference factor. But this post is heart breaking to me.

You definitely need to feed him, I don't know what milk replacer you have in the Phillipines but you can make up a goat milks formulae.

If you need money beg borrow or steal it. BUt please get this puppy the help they need!

You have got to get him to the vet anything you try at home now is going to be futile he most likely has an infection from the open wound and thats why hes cold. You will have to be urgent on this young pups like this fade away quickly. When you are at the vet ask them to teach you how to tube feed

Saw this after you went off line, the ONLY option would be to get to a vet to save this pup as it seems you don't have the experience yet. Hope you update us soon as to the the outcome.

Breaks my heart.

Why didn't you take him to the vet? I really don't understand. If I saw a newborn injured and cold, I would be at the vets office in a heartbeat.

I hope you gather enough information about puppies not to loose anymore senselessly.

I am sorry. So very sad that this little one did not make it. I hope you will get vet care for the others and I pray they will be healthy.

I too am saddened by your loss but hardly surprised. I sure hope that you get the rest of the pups vet checked, have the vet give them NeoPar against Pavrovirus (which is deadly in little puppies and extremely hard to get rid of), check with your vet on the timing of this puppyshot. Also the pups will need to be de-wormed twice at least.

Take very good care of the Mom, make sure she has lots to eat, 4 or more times a day. Watch out for eclampsia, mastitis, discharges et al.

I would be amazed if they even have vets in the Phillipines that are knowledgable about NeoPar....
