Great relief and joy! Made my day (well aside from my horse winning the Oaks this Derby weekend):D You hang in there Piper -mahatma special Yorkie family . |
Great news! Continue prayers for Piper and her family. |
I'm so happy for Piper and her family. Keep going, little one. |
Ahhhh! I have just returned from the vet's and meeting Piper and her Mom and Dad! What a precious little girl and what dedicated people Bobbie & Tony are. They love that baby girl! She had just come in from outside and looked wonderful. Her Yorkie brother Piccolo was there with her and he was precious, as well. Her eyes looked bright to me and she was getting around as good as could be! As I was leaving they were waiting for the Dr.'s to come in to retest her glucose levels again...let's all pray for Piper! Miracles DO happen on Yorkie Talk - Piper is proof! |

Oh my gosh, I'm so thrilled to see this update! There truly are miracles everyday! "Hang in there Piper" Continuing to pray for this precious baby. |
Hope to see the videos of Piper. I pray that her vitals stay where they should be and she can go home soon. It is so hard to leave your baby and they don't understand why they can't go with you. |
So happy to read this good news !!!! Praying for more of the same !!! |

Update on Piper Friday May 2,2014 Today started out very sad for us. After the evening report last night and the morning report this morning. She was holding her blood sugar at 98, liver levels were very good, but she had becomes sevely depressed. After seeing her yesterday, looking and feeling the worst since becoming sick. We were set to say goodbye to our baby girl. We arived at the hospital around 11 am. They brought piper in, She was very alert, she was so happy to see Piccolo. She ran right to him and wanted to play. She ate 2 plates of chicken, and for the first time since she has been sick, wanted to eat her favorite treat Honey Nut Cheerios (vet approved). We went outside for a nice walk. Came back for water and more chicken. Played some more, then went back outside, where she played and decided to bark at a boxer. I am trying to get a video up. Before we left they did another blood test. She had been off dextrose and her feeding tube for over 2 hours. Her blood sugar went up from 98 to 115. We syill have a long road ahead of us. And are taking it 1 day at a time. But, as long as that baby girl fights, we will fight with her. Dr. did say if she remained over 90 she could possibly come home tomorrow or Sunday. Thank you everyone for your prayers. We really appreciate all of them.:aimeeyork |
An Apology to my Husband I want to apologize to my husband. On one of my beginning post I called him my DH. He is not a DH. He is a wonderful husband and loves our babies as much as I do. He didn't do anything that morning that I have not done. One thing about this whole experience is we have learned what not to give our dogs. We learned the deceases that come along with having a Yorkie. The simple things that we give them, just because we thought it was ok and they loved it, could cost us our babies. What my husband gave Piper that morning is not the cause of her illness. She does have MVD, but she either got an infection or a toxic that kicked this into high gear. So, to my wonderful husband, I deeply apologize to you. I love you, and I love the fact that you love our babies as much as I do. I know you would never do anything to harm them. |
Amazing report. Just amazing that she had that kind of a visit, eating, playing, walking, barking, drinking, glucose up. Much better than probably anybody could have hoped. No doubt this spunky little fighter deserves more time to see how she can handle such a big day and see how her system handles the food, activities and see how she does through the night. Way to go, Piper. |
