| bo$$ is sick helpppp I know I know I shouldn't have brought from a breeder! But I did and she sold me a 6th old parti yorkie. He is now almost 8 weeks! His stomach was pretty round when I first got him so I took him to the vet and got him deform since he's too young for the other vaccines! Yesterday he wasn't his usual excited hyper self he had super bad diarrhea and threw up a few times and had the shakes I rushed him to the vet the vet said maybe the food I been feeding him upset his stomach and he gave me flagyl to give to him! Today he seems a little happier but still shaking like it's cold when the room is Damn near hot! What should I do I'm soo worried about my little guy and he's only 2lbs |

| He took me honey I said how about Karo syrup! It's also recommended me to feed him chicken and rice instead of pet food and see if his stomach is still upset! But that doesn't seem right I had a pomeranian last and if he ate human food he always got worms let alone a baby yorkie what do you think? |

About the chicken and rice, a lot of people do home cooking for their Yorkies, so that's not a strange suggestion. The important thing is to prepare the food in a manner that is healthy for the dogs--little or no added salt and fat. People who home cook for their Yorkies will chime in with additional suggestions. | |

| This little baby needs to see a vet that is familiar with Yorkies....does your vet see alot of Yorkies in his practice? Also, he is unvaccinated....I worry about parvo....they can do a snap test....there is alot of different opinions on honey and giving it to puppies and babies....Karo syrup is a better choice. Try feeding him chicken baby food...you need this baby to eat asap....he can not survive on water....he can easily lick chicken baby food from your finger, and it is easily digested...start there. When he gets a couple more weeks on him, you can boil chicken and rice and see if he will take that....go for easy and fast and tasty and easily digestable...baby food requires no expendature of energy to chew....he can just lick it and swallow....and they all seem to love it....and as long as he is drinking, I would put Pedialyte down for him...... |

| did you try moistening his hard food with some warm water?? he may not like it super hard to even have a hard time breaking it up depending on the size of the kibble you could try that and mix in a lil of tiny chicken bits. see if that makes him more inclined to eat. I would really suggest as suggest by other to find another vet who is more familiar with yorkies or the small breeds. i really hope everything turns out ok he is about 4 weeks to young to be away from his momma.
