| Be EXTREMELY careful if you plan to use scissors to remove the poop. I personally would never do that....water will get it off. If you inadvertently cut your pup, you can do serious damage to a very tender area! Sometimes you just have to keep running warm water over it and wiping until it comes off. Then, after that, try to keep the area trimmed well.

| Hi!! My Yorkie is having the same problem. We just pulled it out and I'm wondering if it is poop or something else I should be worried about. Her butthole is now swollen. Did you take your dog to the vet the next day? This was so pitiful. I don't want her in pain. |

| I have similar problems with my yorkie! I’m more worried about it this time around because it has happened twice in two days! Yesterday it happened and I cleaned her up and it was fine. I come home today and I she had poop stuck to her butt again but it was softer today. And I noticed she had super soft poop on her pad. I don’t know if she got into something or what. I’m hoping she is feeling better. If This continues tmrw, I will take her to the vet. |

| I just had to comment. Sometimes Maggie has a "hanger". It's one that is out but not dropping to the ground, so she keeps squatting. I have shoulder length hair and have realized that sometimes there is a hair in her poop, so the poop is out but it is literally hanging by a hair...MY hair. I gently pull with a tissue and it comes out...This is a yet another scenario to add to the various poo problems! |
