Be EXTREMELY careful if you plan to use scissors to remove the poop. I personally would never do that....water will get it off. If you inadvertently cut your pup, you can do serious damage to a very tender area! Sometimes you just have to keep running warm water over it and wiping until it comes off.
Then, after that, try to keep the area trimmed well.
