YAY Cassie, gaining weight. That is fantastic news. It really is amazing and a reflection of all your efforts to take good care of her. Congratulations. Hope she continues to do well, and will get back to walking in time. |
I have used an infant sling for my pups. To keep it open and soft inside you can fold a baby blanket or two, place them in the bottom like a bed and then lay your baby ontop of the blankets. This worked for me when one of my children came into the world really tiny and it kept her from sliding to the bottom and being scrunched up. |
That is so wondeful ! |
I'm SOOOO happy to hear that Cassie has gained some weight and is doing well!!!!!! How amazing it that!! It's a testament on how she fought to be with you. As far as your colonoscopy - so wonderful that you won't have to leave her alone and that the vet, who knows Cassie, is willing to keep a keen eye on her. For your preparation of your procedure, I sure hope that you can keep close to a washroom.;) Seriously, you need to be very close. When I had my procedure, I couldn't feel a thing and everything turned out well. All the very best!!!!! |
So very happy for you and little Cassie!!!! Let's keep all of this going with the positive thoughts and things happening!!!! Yay, this has made my day! |
:thumbs up Thank you all so much for your good wishes. I am so thrilled. I weighed her at 8:30AM this morning and she weighed 2 lbs 10 OZ, in the MORNING. She has never weighed this much in her entire LIFE. I am stunned and so happy I could dance on the edge of a pin. WOW!!! Maybe I could even get her up to THREE lbs even. I am so amazed and thankful. WOW!!!!:dogwalk::dogwalk::dogwalk: |

they don't restrict leg movement at all, in fact its quite the opposite. I wouldn't suggest holding her in it all day but its great for short walks around, while your making dinner and to help her get some assistance bearing weight on her legs. Jess loved it and absolutely hated being smushed in a sling. I was also always afraid in a sling she could jump out at any time so I always had to have my hand over it and it kind of defeated the purpose for me. I felt much calmer knowing she was secure and couldnt jump out. In the end I think both options are good for different times. (we also used it in the pool when she was rehabbing. It gave her security and us the ability to let her move her legs around in the water and use the muscles without bearing weight..) |

I have seen them in both stores. I would look online too. I know that there are youtubes on how to make them for not much money. My sling is the one that I carried all six of my children in and it is like an old friend. I have carried one pup in it but Im going to get it back out and see if both of the girls will work in it. I know that there is plenty of room. |
way to go cassie// Fantastic news:bravo: |
