| ![]() So she has vomited and had diarrhea for one solid week and she is not dehydrated? Your vet did not suggest that you do labs now and did not give fluids?

Has the vet done the blood work yet? If not and she has pancreatitis, you'll need to get that now to see if liver damage is happening and what else is going on and start appropriate treatment and changes in diet. And how in the world was she not dehydrated? Did the vet give her IV fluids or a subQ bolus of fluid or something? Please remember that just because a dog is presently eating, drinking and playing that they are recovered and well. Dogs are genetically programmed not to show illness or weakness until they are quite weak and ill so she will try to act normally as long as she can, even though she might be very sick. They fear being attacked or left out by the pack or other predators in the wild if they show illness or any symptom revealing they are not 100% fit, so they "act" normal to try to stay alive. Here are some links from our YorkieTalk Library for your help, I hope. These can help you know what to look for to keep your dog safe. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/eme...-drinking.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/eme...-articles.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/eme...-dog-pain.html

| ![]() Praying your baby gets better soon- When Peanut had Pancreatitis he had to go to the vet all day Sat, they gave him fluids, then he had to go back all day Sun for more fluids- he was on a strict diet.. His Pancreatitis wasn't really "that" bad- I caught it early.. he only had diarrhea for half a day and threw up a couple times- that day I took him into the vet. I'm kind of concerned for Bella- I really think she should get fluids. The sub Q fluids are amazing- When I dropped Peanut off he was in bad shape- when I picked him up having all day of fluids I could already see an improvement in him. Fluids are an amazing thing for sick doggies!

Should read: Please remember that just because a dog is presently eating, drinking and playing, they are not necessarily well.
