I hope he feels better soon. When mine have the bloody poop the metronidazole usually works pretty quickly.

Poor little guy And, poor Mommy. I know you are so worried. Good for you for getting him to the Vet asap!!

I will keep him in my prayers that all the meds do their thing and he's all better soon.

FYI, that 11% fat needs to be converted from a dry matter basis. It's actually MUCH higher. It's the same with canned food.

To determine the amount of protein on a dry matter basis, divide the reported amount of protein by the total amount of dry matter. Then, multiply the result by 100.

Stella & Chewy's is one of the highest premade fat foods out there. There's a few other premades that are less, but I've heard of S&C causing this problem before in Yorkies.

I have 2 of mine on premade raw (smallbatch) & that has also 11% fat, which is 36% fat as a dry matter basis. They're doing great on it, small firm poopies. Princess gets soft poopies even if she eats a tiny morsel of it.

Thanks for checking on my little man He ate well last night and took his meds with no issues. And even took me on a long walk this morning, I was only going to take him around the block but he had other plans lol I actually just got off the phone with the vets office, his bloodwork came out good which makes me sooooooooooooooooooo happy!!!!! He has to take his meds for 10 days and hopefully after that there will be no more tummy issues. He hasn't pooped today but I'm thinking it's because of the rice I fed him with some boiled chicken.

Zoey got pancreatitis from eating Stella & Chewy's dehydrated. We were three weeks into the food when she started throwing up. The fat content was just too high. I still feed raw but just switched from Natures Variety to a local company that has powdered dehydrated raw food. It varies in fat content but the chicken is only 8%. I am keeping an eye on her for any reactions. She always did fine on NV but I hate feeding cold food in the mornings.
