Turkey bone can not be ruled out. I often find turkey bones in my yard after the holidays that cats drag out of peoples trash. As long as you covered the deposit so they will treat her, don't worry about the rest till it's time to worry about it. Can you post the name of the Hospital Lilo is at ? for those who want to donate.

Yes, definitely don't worry about it yet. Money shouldn't be one of your concerns right now - you just need to focus on everything positive to Lilo.

Me, too! I found Tibbe with a chicken leg in his mouth one Sunday! He ran out straight to an area, pottied, I looked in the den at the TV, stepped back out and he was chewing. Ran out to him and saw the chicken leg in his mouth and got it away. He'd not had enough time to bite off any bone yet. It didn't look fresh - looked as if it had been out in the elements and was old looking. He didn't get sick from it thankfully, though I'm sure he got some of that meat off it. So scary what they can find out on sidewalks or the yard.

I am so sorry to hear Lilo is in critical condition. Bless her little heart, I can't believe she is going through all this right now. Stay strong. I will be keeping her in my prayers

I knew Lilo was sick, but I didn't know how critical she was until Patti told me when we were talking on the phone. I'm praying for that precious baby and for you. I'm so sorry you are both going through this and hope and pray there will be good news in the morning. Hugs to you!

i am not too familiar with the emergency vet, although they have been very kind so far in lowering the cost due to our circumstances... i dont have a credit card we can put it on right now but i emailed all my family and friends so far to see if we can get some help... making things tonight to sell also...

the strange thing is while we were in san francisco she barely touched the ground... she was so cold all the time that about 80% of the time i was either holding her or she was in her snuggy sack... we do have raccoons that like to sift through the trash at night that may have dropped somethings in the front yard but i follow her whenever shes out and didnt really notice her munching on anything...

She may have picked up something in your Moms yard & she just didn't see her get it. Chances are those bones have been in her longer then you realize.
You know you can call the Hospital & check up on her, as many times as you like. They are familiar with crazy doggy mommies like all us yorkie moms. When any of mine go in for a simple dentistry, I call at least 3 times before the Dr is done with the dental, lol.
