YT Addict | ![]() On Friday morning Rylee threw up just once. Seemed fine the rest of the day. She ate and played and had normal bowel movements. All day yesterday, she was fine. About 2:00 this morning, she threw up and then went back to sleep until about 4:00. At that point she got up and had a very loose stool. Then she started throwing up again. I got her to sleep for about another hour or so and then got up because she was so restless. When we got downstairs, she had bad diarrhea. In fact there was hardly any color to it.....it was almost clear. Since then she has had it two more times and it is brown in color now. It almost looks like it could have had some blood in it but I might me imagining that. She is drinking and has even eaten a little bit of boiled chicken and a few pieces of kibble. I don't think it is at the point that I should take her to emergency. She hasn't vomited anymore, although she is having wet burbs. I'm so worried about her............... Could she have picked something up outside? I will be taking her to the vet tomorrow if she is not better or even to emergency tonight if she gets any worse. I haven't had to deal with this too often with her. She has a pretty strong little tummy since I put her on a Grain Free diet. I should mention that she is sleeping more, but still barks at the noises outside so she is showing interest. I was going to try the pumpkin thing also..........how much should I give her? She is about 6 pounds. Cancel that................she just threw up all the chicken. ![]()

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | ![]() Just for your information A pup which weighs less than fifteen pounds should be given 1-2 teaspoons of pumpkin. A 15-35 pound pup should have 1-2 tablespoons, and 35 pounds and up can be given 2-5 tablespoons of pumpkin. |

YT Addict | ![]() Took her to emergency right after I posted. I had to leave her there because they wanted to put her on fluids. They just called me and told me that the blood work shows negative for Parvo and so far the Dr. thinks she has the stomach flu. I didn't even know that dogs could get stomach flu but come to think of it, my chihuahua was having diarrhea yesterday. They are going to keep her overnight and keep and eye on her to make sure they have stopped the vomiting. I am supposed to pick her up between 6 and 8am tomorrow morning. I know I'm being a baby but this is killing me. I've never left her overnight anywhere. I asked if she was crying and they said "no, she is resting quietly". It's going to be an awful long night. ![]()

YT Addict | ![]() Thank you Morgan..............you always make me feel better when I'm losing it!!!! I'm going to call later tonight before we go to bed to see how she is doing. I doubt I will be able to sleep and if I do, I will probably have nightmares. I can't believe how much I love that little dog. I truly feel like she is a child to me. These feelings of worry are all to familiar from when my boys were small. I think I'm a little crazy where Rylee is concerned.

| ![]() Poor baby, I hope she feels better soon. My two both had an episode of vomiting and diarrhea over a year ago. We took them to the vet and they were given a shot for the nausea and were told to put them on a bland diet. Their tummies settled and they were better within a day.

YT Addict | ![]() Thanks to all of you for your support. Rylee Belle is home............my husband and I picked her up about 7:00 this morning. She told us off the whole way home. Apparently she told the staff at the emergency clinic off the whole night also. They fed her about 2:00 this morning and so far she has kept that down. They called it a gastrointestinal attack and feel that she will be fine now. They did warn me that she may have a couple of more episodes of diarrhea or even vomit so just to keep her on a bland diet. They also have her on Metronidazole? ![]() ![]()
