I am pleased and encouraged to see this breeder come to her senses. If she was not initially motivated by a sense of loss for this precious baby, or even a sense of guilt for what YOU and the baby have suffered, then at least she has come to realize her entire business can be seriously damaged by publicity in the many avenues provided by social media, if her name and her business went viral as someone that refused to have the common decency to step forward and rectify this obviously unfortunate but congenital issue. For THAT, I am optimistic about her intentions. TRUST BUT VERIFY....GET IT IN WRITING THAT THE PUP WILL BE REPLACED IN THE SPRING, FROM A DIFFERENT BREEDING PAIR.

I am just so sad. We will never forget sweet little Maggie. She was a special little girl who touched many in her short life. I am so sorry you had to go through such a painful experience, and I pray your heart heals with time. I'm glad you will someday get a new little one. You have a lot of love to give. Hugs.

I read this last night and was brought to tears by your painful loss. I am glad to hear the breeder says she will replace your pup. I would be VERY VERY cautious about any other pups from her for fear of another heart breaking experience. You did all you could and chose what was best for her.
I certainly pray for peace & comfort for you and best wishes for your next healthy Yorkie.

I am glad that the breeder reached out. But I agree with everyone above me with regard to a new pup from her. Get everything in writing. You write it and have her sign it.

I'm SO sorry for your loss of sweet little Maggie! This is such a sad experience. It really hit me because I also have a Maggie (that's her in my avatar). I hope you get another healthy puppy that will be part of your family for a very long time. You deserve that! I've had up to 5 dogs at a time before. It's hard losing even one of them, and it haunts me still. Another puppy does ease the pain but does not make it go away. Maggie will be in your heart forever! RIP sweet little Maggie!!!

Rest in peace, little Maggie. She is no longer suffering and is whole and healthy up in Heaven, where you will see her again someday

I hope that the breeder actually comes through for you, with a nice healthy puppy, AND that she does not breed those same dogs again.
