![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() At the tender age of 16 weeks, you can resat assured this is congenital. That is useless information, if you have a breeder that could care less, and you have no health guarantee. Did you at least have a vet check within 48 hours of purchase, to see if the baby was healthy? You need to broadcast her name and her business all over this site, if she once again tells you she will not help with this situation....you need to tell her if she is not willing to stand by that puppy and at least refund your money if that babies dies, or pick up the costs of diagnostic testing to determine exactly what is wrong with this baby, you are going to do everything in your power to ruin her name in the dog breeding business world......this is sooooo tragic......my prayers for you and the innocent little puppy, who did not ask to be brought into this world....this woman should suffer as much as this baby is suffering..... | |

| ![]() Praying for little Maggie. I did have one that had CHF and lived to be 15. She was on lasic for the fluid build up and a med for her heart. Just try to keep believing the positive. I know its hard but prayer changes things and we have all seen that on this forum time and time again. God bless you and little Maggie. |

| ![]() Although there is no "Lemon Law" in Georgia, you may have recourse through the Department of Agriculture. Animal Protection FAQs - Ga Dept of Agriculture

| ![]() I have a Yorkie who presented with this at 14 wks (around). I am not one to keep mental notes when I'm going through things- I choose to keep moving forward and put my faith and trust in the Drs and the big guy above! I will tell you this, a cardiologist will tell you what the issue is, and it could be one of several conditions, so I won't venture to guess. Once your cardiologist does his tests and exams you will know how to proceed, I promise. You, like me, want to do whats best for the pup. I will tell you that my baby is now 9 mos. and has had a few close calls recently, but the cardiologist still thinks she may outgrow it, unfortunately her litter mate (sister) did not and passed away not to long ago...so each case is definitely different. I believe she is with me for a reason, and regardless of anything long time or short time I am so glad I have her... I wish you luck and keep us posted and when you get the results let us know, we will be here for you. Please, do tell us the name of your breeder, or pm me.

| ![]() She had a malformed tricuspid valve and her right atrium is 3 times larger than the left and also a little narrowing in her pulmonary valve. Nothing really gonna help. He said its very very rare in a yorkie. Gonna try a fluid pill for a few days just to see if any improvement but that's just to help her live longer. He said could b 6 months could b a year but a year was being generous ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() I am sooooo sorry.....I was fearful of this........what a horrible thing to happen to this poor little girl, and for you to have to endure this emotional devastation. I think you need to contact the breeder and tell her what has happened, see what she says, and then have that "Come to Jesus Meeting" with her...let her know what you intend to do (plaster her name and the name of her breeding business all over every form of social media you can get your hands on...FB, Tweeter, etc., because of her refusal to stand by her puppy)....you are going to do your dead level best to ruin her so that some other poor, unsuspecting soul does not get taken for a ride. ANY breeder can have a pup with a congenital malformation of some kind....IT IS WHAT THAT BREEDER DOES IN THE FACE OF THAT UNFORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCE, THAT DETERMINES IF THEY ARE WORTH A PLUG NICKLE. |

| ![]() Thanks yorkiemom1 and I totally agree with you. I have contacted her and no response so far. But I feel that I am at fault some because I signed a paper saying I would take her to the vet within 2 days. The next day was July 4 so my vet was closed and she was due for her next shots about 4 or 5 days later so I made the mistake of waiting. But even in those few days I had gotten so attached to her I would have hate to give her up. But I feel that any reputable breeder would find it in there heart to offer me my money back just to help a little with the cost. But when i informed her of the heart murmur she just said thanks for letting her know and she would get her dogs checked. I'm just gonna do what I can I guess and make what little time left Maggie has the best I can ![]() |

| ![]() I am so sorry about your baby. One of my little girls developed CHF when she was nine. The breeder is responsible for this. A 48-hour health guarantee is ridiculous, and although you would have had some more recourse if you had gone to the vet sooner, you are not at fault. A responsible and reputable breeder should stand behind all of these precious babies. I am heartbroken that you and your baby have to go through this. She left an imprint on your heart as soon as you got her, and that will last forever. |

| ![]() I am in tears reading this. This is so sad and you are trying everything to save your little baby. That breeder is awful and you think she would have a heart and help you out. My prayers are for you and Maggie. Susan |
