Maybe you could ask the vet if it's okay to give them a little plain canned pumpkin. Whenever one of mine has soft poo, a little pumpkin has them firmed up by the next day

I had tried the pumpkin...didn't do a thing! They are getting fortiflora which is a probiotic....I just think it's going to take a while to get rid of the bad bacteria...get back the GOOD bacteria and get rid of the giardia.

Maybe continue the probiotic for a week or two after the ABs are done... When Metronidazole stopped working on mine, the vet gave them a low dose Sulfa drug along with probiotics, which worked then I chose to continue the probiotics anyway... Mine used to get diarrhea twice a year in spring and fall... they haven't had it for a few years now...

I was going to talk to my vet about that. I am really hoping that what I am doing now will do the trick.
