You asked in another thread if your pup can get worse before she gets better... yes, this happens often. It all depends on your pup's immune system, and the strength of the Parvovirus. Some get it worse than others, maybe due to different strains or the virus. The virus has to run it's course, the pup/dog's systems are supported through IV fluid therapy. The fluids going in are to replace any fluid lost through vomiting and diarrhea. She should remain on the IV fluids until all vomiting and diarrhea have stopped, and she begins eating without vomiting, and has normal elimination. Then the IV fluids can be stopped.

I'm so sorry to read that your Mia is having to go through such a terrible fight for her life so young. Thankfully you vetted her early and she is getting supportive and therapeutic care and you are visiting her to keep that lifeline going in her little brain to fight. Hopefully that combination of excellent medical care and mommie's love can pull this little one through this awful disease. I will be praying for Mia.

The vet sent Mía home....she was with me last night and she only eats broasted chicken.....she sooooo skinny, I with i could give her moré food but the vet only allows me to give her just a little every 3 hours.

Im really thankfull for this site, i dont know you but youve been a great support for me this past week.....not everyone understands how much a situation like this can be so painful.
