Well, the vet called me this morning with an update. Her labs didnt change much and the one lab that scares her the most is at 2,400 and normal is 140. So she called the Teaching Animal Hospital Vet to discuss with her. They want her to come home because she can tell she wants out of there, and i want her to know I didnt abandon her. I will know more info once the other vet calls back. I did ask the vet if she is thinking Elle has kidney or liver failure, she said she thinks she has liver failure. |

oh my how awful, I am just reading this, I have nothing to add but my thoughts and prayers and that we all understand the emotions you are going through. Praying they will find something that they can do. |

Elle is home, for now. I have never recieved as many kisses as I did when they put her in my arms. I loved it. So as far as the update, it seems noone has an exact diagnosis as to what is going on with her. The columbia vet finally called my home vet back, and she told her that Elle's gallbladder and pancreas were a mess. (her exact words) She recommended that we give her the pill that thins her bile twice a day instead of once a day. She is on special food and antibiotics. One of my local vets thinks she might pull through, and the other ones think its liver failure. Im watching her like a hawk, and if she starts to not act herself again, then back to the vets we go. So pls keep the prayers for lil Elle coming. I have her home and want to keep her home, but want her healthy. And whatever this is that is making her sick needs to go away! Thanks everyone for everything. Hopefully she still has some fight in her, cause she is still one sick little girl, but its so good to see her cute lil face and hold her and tell her how much I love her. |

I am so happy she is doing better. My terrier/x Gizmo was hospitalized for eating peepee pads from Friday am till Saturday pm. That experience must have been traumatic for her. She acted so strange for a few days. But thank God she is doing now. PRAYING..... Louise |
Science Diet, as much as I hate the pet store type food, has a lot of different vet formulars to help with specific health issues. I have 2 of my 6 dogs and 1 of 2 cats on them and it seems to be helping all of them. Louise |

We have had our two on Ideal Balance for Puppies from Science Diet since they were 6 wks old and they have done great on it and our Vet recommend it too. |

I took the day off work, so that I can watch her and see how she does. She is eatting and drinking, and sleeping quite a bit. I feel bad for her cause she still has the pink wrap on her leg, cause the IV is still in her leg, just in case she needs more fluids. She is being so lovey, and I missed that. She definately wants on my lap, and doesnt want me to leave her side for long. I just love having her back home. But I want her healthy as well. We will retest her in a couple of days and see how she is doing with her liver enzymes. Keeping fingers crossed that things start getting better. Thanks everyone for the continued support. You really have no idea how much it means to me, to log on and to keep seeing the wishes and prayers from everyone. You all are what is helping me get through this. Cause you love your furbabies as much as I love mine!! |
