She is doing so much better than I thought she would. I had this bad feeling I would have to call the vet today, and take her back. She is eatting her special food and drinking. I was worried earlier, cause she hadn't poo'ed yet, but she just did (thank heavens) She is taking her medicine just fine. I'm crossing my fingers that her labs will show an improvement in a couple of days. Then we can take her IV out. Cause she isn't walking real good on that cast that they put on her leg to protect the IV. I guess I'm going to take it one day at a time. My fear is that the labs will not show any improvement, and I want to have her rexrayed, as well, to see if the calcium deposits are still present. But I'm trying to stay positive, cuz my negative thinking was killing me. |

So happy she is doing better. That is all you can do is take one step, one day at a time. Every day you will see a little bit more improvment in little Elle. Everyone is sending their love and prayers. We are like one big family. |

I went back to work today but my 17 yr old daughter was home with her. She sleeps the biggest majority of the day. But she is still eatting and drinking good. And so far she is pooping everyday which is a good sign. I am getting ready to call the vet and have them retest her labs. Last time I had her home from the vets, she had to go back within 2 days. So we have passed that goal. Her tummy still feels tight, but not as tight as before. So its really hard for me to tell how she is doing. If u were to look at her she looks fairly normal, but it doesnt last long. She gets wore out very fast. |

I know it made you more comfortable to have your daughter staying with her. I hope any tests improve for your little girl. |
I tooke Elle on a walk in her dog stroller tonite. I havent used it in so long. But i knew she needed some fresh air and to get out of the house. She loved it. She is starting to get annoyed by the cast on her arm. I have to keep telling her to leave it alone. They are removing it tommorrow. I will post results from the labwork tommorrow when I get home from the vets. Keep ur fingers crossed. |

I will pray that her labs all look well tomorrow and for a full recovery. I imagine she would tire easily since she has been so sick and it will take time for her to build up her strength. Hugs to you and sweet Elle! |

My bailey has chronic pancreatitis. So hard to watch them go through it. I always pray to god to give me the problems and let him be ok. Are u in spfld? You have a 217 number. I'm in the nw suburbs |
This sadden me to know Elle is in so much pain I am praying for a positive out come and speedy recovery. |

Aww, I'm so sorry. I really didn't know much about pancreatitis til all this came about. It's so scary to even imagine having a sick furbaby, let alone having a painful disease like this. I did the same thing. I kept getting mad and then emotional, then mad again. In my case we still really dont know what is exactly going on with her. Each vet has a different opinion of a daignosis. So its hard to treat something you dont know. I really hope your furbaby feels better. Just cherish everyday and make it special. Thats what I have been doing through all this. Specially since i have her home right now. We live about 1 1/2 hours from Springfield. I live in Quincy. We drive to springfield all the time to do our shopping. My daughter loves the mall. haha |
