Keeping Elle and you in my prayers. |
Praying for you and little Elle... I believe she can recover... it may just take longer... |
Sending prayers to baby girl Elle! She is beautiful and does look pretty good considering she is wrapped up in pink tape with the IV and the cone on her. My thoughts are with you too during this, what I can only imagine, is a very difficult time for you. |
Adding my thoughts and prayers for Elle, and for you:hands: |
Praying tomorrow brings even more improvement for Elle. She is such a baby doll..and ((hugs)) to you and your family too. |
thoughts & prayers for elle, absolutely way too young to be going thru this, so truely sorry, will pray for the best outcome for her!!! |
I'm praying for little Elle. Hopefully, there is a miracle for her just around the corner. Dogs can often fight through such terrible illness when all appears lost so just because your vet isn't too optimistic, don't count her out. Keep visiting her as often as you can to remind her what to fight for - her love for you. You are her life, her everything so you being there to encourage & touch her, talk to, love her can help her tremendously unless she's in very dire condition. Then sometimes the vet won't let you visit, if the liver/other organ damage is very great, as excitement can drain energy. Rub a little blanket all over your body or sleep with it & take it to her to keep in her little cage while she's in the hospital. I'm hoping & praying this beautiful little girl has a good night tonight. You try & get some rest also. |
Keeping your beautiful little girl in our prayers and thoughts. |
I am so sorry Kim! Your Elle looks just like my little Molly. Went through a little scare with our new Parti Yorkie, Milo today, but it all turned out ok. I just prayed that the Lords Will would be done and thanked Him for it. I thank Him for His Will concerning little Elle too. God Bless. Be Strong! |
Sending prayers your way for little Elle and your family. :hands::hands: Elle is a sweetheart. Keep the faith. |
I wanted to tell everyone thanks for the kind words and prayers. You really have no idea how much it means to me. The vet called me last night. She wanted me to know how much Elle perked up since I had visited her. That made me feel so good. We are going to recheck her labwork on Monday and rexray her tummy, to see if anything has changed. If this doesnt work, I am going to be a mess. It has been so hard for me to be away from her. And to know that I still might lose her, will kill me. Pls keep the prayers coming. I want my baby back. |
I forgot to mention, after we went to visit Elle at the vet's office, my husband, daughter and I, went out to eat. (I've been trying to not be home as much, cause it feels so lonely without Elle) We went to a chinese restuarant, and when you get the bill, they give you a fortune cookie. One of the fortune cookies read "OPPORTUNITY AWAITS YOU NEXT MONDAY" Is this about Elle? I don't normally believe stuff like this, but is it a coincidence, when we are actually restesting Elle on Monday? It brings tears to my eyes everytime I even think about it, cause it could still go either way. Gosh, I'm a nervouse wreck!! |
I like the fortune cookie! It's a good omen. I will continue to keep Elle in my prayers. |
I believe it's a good omen too! :hands: Will continue to pray for little Elle |
I am praying all goes well tomorrow, please update us when you have a chance! Stay strong and think positive! Elle has the support of us all here on YT. |
Keeping Elle in my thoughts and prayers.. |
We are all here waiting and praying with you, for your precious little Elle. Let us know when you have a prognosis and plan of care from the vet. |
Checking in to see how little Elle is doing today. Praying for some good news soon. :hands::hands: |
I don't have any answers yet, but I keep trying to research what exactly is wrong with Elle, besides the pancreatitis. Here is what the Teaching Animal Vet said what the ultrasound showed: An ultrasound was performed on Elle. Her left and right kidneys are dilated at the renal pelvis (where the urine exits the kidney). The renal pelvis of the right kidney is midly irregular and mineralization is present. The pancreas is focally inflamed and is compressing one of the bile ducts causing gall bladder to become distended. This is likely the cause of Elle's increased bilirubin and may be contributing to her increased liver enzymes. ASSESSMENT:: Based on Elle's clinical signs and diagnostic findings, she is likely suffering from pancreatitis. Other possibilities discussed were a mass that could be compressing the bile ducts or causing a mucous plug that is causing bile to backup into the gall bladder. I'm still so lost on why she has mineralization in her liver and kidneys. An xray showed it in her liver.. I'm having such a hard time with this, as I'm sure you can tell. I miss Elle sooooo much, and I can't lose her. I'm so emotional now, I have no idea how I would handle it if I get bad results tommorrow. I'm so scared! I just have this terrible feeling in my gut that the labs are going to come back unchanged or even worse. And i'm petrified to even look at the repeat xray. I keep posting on here, cause you all care so much about your babies, as I do mine.Elle, has my heart, and I would never be able to replace her. Sure, I care about my other yorkies, but Elle and I have that bond that cant be forgotten. I love her so darn much! I can't lose her, and I'm scared I'm going to. |

Thanks for inquiring about her. I havent heard from the vet today yet. She might call me tonite like she did last night. I just know I'm getting more and more nervous about finding out if the IV fluids and medicine that she is taking to thin the bile, has worked, tommorrow. I have to go to work tomm, since I have already missed so much already, but as soon as I get off at 3:00 (central time) I'm heading to the vets. I will definately post an update as soon as I get the news. I might be emotional, but I think this site, is more understanding of that than anyone. Thanks again for caring! :) |
When reading these things, it is best to focus on the assessment rather than the rest of it. Many times the things that they see and write about are really not a problem. Let the vet explain it to you...don't try to interpret it as it will make you crazy with worry. Those things often sound a lot worse than what they are. |

My home vet questioned the Teaching Animal Hosp Vet about the mineralization, and she couldn't explain why she had it. My home vet said they are very concerned about it as they have never seen a dog with so many, and I'm glad they are being honest with me, even though it hurts to hear. |
Understand about work, that's ok, you can check on her tomorrow afternoon. She is in good hands with the Vet. Sending prayers, and hugs your way. Will check back again tomorrow with you to see if there is any news. And don't worry about being emotional. Most of us have been emotional on here one time or another. That is why we are here. It's called support. Love, Darlene :ghug: |
We are here praying for Elle along with you. I know how hard it is to not have answers when you need to know, but yet you don't want to hear something negative. We are praying for a positive outcome for Elle. |
Keeping Miss Elle in my thoughts and prayers!!!! Hang in there, these things have a way of working themselves out. Yorkies are tough little buggers!!!!! |
Did some research online about all the mineralization in her liver and kidneys. They mineralization in her kidneys can be associated with a mass. But definately sounds like she has liver and kidney failure. I could be wrong, but Im definately going to discuss this with my vet, as they mentioned this in the very beginning. |
I am so very sorry for you. It wasn't that long ago that I lost my little Levi. It is devastating. I will be praying for your baby. |
Sending prayers. |
