				 | Yes you are, Ladyjane! I think everyone on YT has learned information from your vet, through your posting. On a different note, as I mentioned earlier today, I would post pictures of Piccolo's ears, so the OP could compare to her pup. Kind of yucky... 1. Piccolo in the middle of Cutaneous Vasculitis around 2008 (not the greatest picture in the world - sorry) Vasculitis Lesions before and after 008.jpg 2. Piccolo's black scars from this disease (but in remission) Ear Scars.jpg

But, I have to say that I would never do them myself. I would not want to try and deal with a reaction on my own. Just not for me. And, when my pups get shots, I hang out a bit at the vet before heading home just in case.

				 | Does anyone know which vaccine is responsible for this? I ask because I have a puppy that's getting shots this week. Everything except lepto and rabies. She's 13 weeks. Lisa: Piccolo has such a sweet face. You don't even notice the black scars when you see those eyes. What a doll!

				 | I believe in Dixie's case it was the DHPP but that is a totally necessary vaccine for puppies. This is not a common reaction.

Thanks for the compliment about Piccolo. She is beautiful in my eyes and I tell her she has pretty ears, all the time. She tilts her head, when I say that. Vaccines.... She was given the DHPP, no Lepto. But, she also had the Bordetello vaccine at the same time. Probably had flea medicine and heartworm medicine very near that time too. I am sure her little body was overwhelmed. I feel horrible it happened and I was very stupid and not knowledgeable about things then. I did not find YT, until months later and now I have so much more knowledge or YT friends that can advise. Also wanted to add that Piccolo's problems did not happen when she was a puppy. She was three. Those puppy vaccines did not affect her adversely her and I think they are extremely important. Good luck with your little one and good for you for seeking information now.

				 | this might be a little off topic, but I've created enough new threads. I'm hearing terrifying stuff about vaccines lately. She's had her first set. Should I wait? break them up in individual doses. what is best/safest? I don't want to risk her health but I also don't want to risk her health to reactions either. She's small. Only 28 oz. When is it best to give lepto? I swear this info changes often as new things are discovered.
