Things like that don't happen all of the time. The illnesses the vaccines prevent are far worse sometimes.
But, I have to say that I would never do them myself. I would not want to try and deal with a reaction on my own. Just not for me.
And, when my pups get shots, I hang out a bit at the vet before heading home just in case.
