| Have the vet recheck him...they will re-assess him and be sure you tell them about the diarrhea...kennel cough can be sooooo hard to get rid of, lasting for months....they may want to re-evaluate the effectiveness of the antibiotics he is on....poor little soul, and now with diarrhea from all the meds....they may want to start probiotics for the diarrhea to re-establish the normal flora in the intestine. I am so sorry for you and little Tank....hang in there.....I wish I had answers for you. |

| I will definitely ask the vet about adding probiotics into his diet! I brought him back to the vet today because his meds are finished and he's still coughing, they are keeping him over night and nebulizing him....I have called a couple times checking on him already and he's only been there since 1:00, idk who has worse separation anxiety me or him?! They said they haven't hear him cough yet, of course, but he has just been sleeping in his bed, I told her that he needs to walk around or something so he will cough so they can at least hear it....I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he is better tomorrow do he can come back home! I miss him already!!

| I talked to the Vet this morning and they want to keep him another night! I'm so sad my little baby has to be away this long! They said he's doing great and they have gotten his cough to go down though so I'm very happy about that! The only meds he is currently on is the nebulizer and anti diarrhea stuff and he is doing great, cough is getting better and diarrhea is going away...Thank God! I just want him back home so hopefully he is better tomorrow! He is also still eating normally and still as playful as always, he has won over all the Vet's hearts while he has been there (of course, what yorkie wouldn't?! ) I'm also hoping he doesn't pick up any bad habits while he's there because we have done so well with his obedience at home! But I'd rather a healthy puppy even if he does come home with a bad habit or two!

| His cough is MUCH better, I don't want to jinx it and say it's all gone but I've only heard a small cough once before bed, he was always horrible through the night and he didn't cough at all last night, and we exercised a TON yesterday after he came home!! He was so excited to be home I took the afternoon off to play with him and exercise him because he was cooped up for a few days. He is on clavamox until he runs out, and I put him in his crate with a humidifier with towels draped over it twice a day for 20mins. For a week just to be safe!

| I am sorry poor Tank is going through all of this (and you too). I wanted to offer some advice about the diarrhea. We give both Georgie (Yorkie) and Coco (Boxer) plain non-fat yogurt that naturally contains probiotics with every meal. Probiotics are so good for their digestive system and ours too! Not much just a tsp for Georgie and he hasn't had diarrhea since. I know Tank has been on meds that can cause the diarrhea but try some yogurt in his food. I hope he feels better soon! PS Our vet has prescribed Flagyl for Georgie in the past for diarrhea.
