| ![]() I get home today from work a little later than usual. Rosie is all excited to see me but throws up the yellow bile twice. She is not wanting to eat and just wants me to hold her. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

| ![]() She ate a tiny tiny bit. Nothing like she normally eats at this time. I was thinking it was because I was late getting home. She normally eats at 4:00 and I didn't get home until a little after 5. Would that make her sick? She hasn't thrown up any more bile since she ate the few bites.

| ![]() ZoE throws up yellow bile when her stomach is empty and she's hungry. Strange thing is, when I put food in her bowl, she often won't then eat it, but if I hand feed her a bit of it, then a few minutes later, she will go and eat the rest from her bowl. Finicky lil pups, aren't they?

I have read that dogs who are fed on strict schedules anticipate eating at the appointed time and their bodies start to produce the enzymes required to digest the food. When the food doesn't arrive on time, the enzymes have nothing to do and cause digestive upset. I think this is why Teddy would throw up a little bile in the morning if I overslept.

| ![]() I'm sorry little Rosie was sick. I believe she may have been sick because her tummy was empty. My little Muffin used to get sick if she went too long without eating.
