| Im such a horrible owner Well first let me start out by saying I feel bad enough so please do not say ...this is why you dont vacinate yourself. Also please dont say if you cant afford the vet dont have a pet. Just advise is all I need. I have been in tears for two hours. Ok...so I could not afford the vet visit and vacination total for cocoa 12 week vac. So I went to tractor supplyand got them. They were not expired and were stored and shipped in correct temps according to the lady that said she uses them herself. It saved me some money or I thought. Well I got home. Gave cocoa her shot when made me feel bad enough because she squeeled for three minutes. She seemed ok after that and we played and she licked me. Then I went in another room for a bit and came back and she was in her cage doing her sniffle thing I had posted about in the general forum. Except it was non stop kind of like she couldnt catch her breath. Her appt was at 1:00 because I was going to make sure she still got her check up by the vet but she kept making that noise and something wasnt right so here we go an hour early and by the time we got there the noise had stopped. They said temp was ok and chest was clear. He said to watch her today if she swelled they were there until five. That was it. Well we have been back for two and a half hours and she got to shaking so bad and I called them back they said give her some honey. I had to force her to take it. Then she fell asleep and hasnt moved. She will open her eyes and look at me but thats it. One time she tryed to move her head and yelped really loud. Im very worried. I have 0.00 and the vet even charged me twenty more than the exam because they said it was because of complications. I already had the appt and he didnt do anything that he usually does. So I still owe them 14.00 Im so confused. ? But anyhow I dont know if she is ok or what to do. Has this happened with anyone else and please I know I shouldnt have gotten it at TS or did it myself but at least I tried to make sure she didnt go without. I love my puppy very much and need advice to make her better.

| oh im very sorry i do not have any advice to offer as i can only say any shots given to cedric have been smaller amounts and i go back mutiple time because he is so sensitive. maybe it was just too much at once for her and it will get better as time goes. i know cedric sleeps an awful lot after a shot. did you pull back to be sure you were not in a vien?? i hope she gets better.

| It sounds like a reaction to the shots but how severe it is I dont know. If she seems to be having trouble breathing or any swelling Id be right back at the vet. My Jewels has had a similar reaction to shots where she shook, yelped and was a little lethargic and she was okay the next day. Id tell you to take her to the vet to be on the safe side but you said you were just there and they didnt see any thing wrong. So I would keep an eye on her and if she gets any worse head to the vet right away

| wow, I feel sick reading this...Are you sure she's not hypoglycemic??...How big is she? When did she last eat? Have you tried to borrow the money from family or tried applying for Care Credit? You can do it on line...She really needs to be checked by the vet.I sure hope she alright.....

| I have no advice for you. I just hope this baby is fine. She really does need to be seen by the Vet. Find the money somewhere. I am sick just reading what was done.

| I feel sick to my stomach right now. The only advice I can give you is to take her to a vet...if you cannot afford it, I am sorry, you need to turn her over to them. Don't let her suffer any longer, please.

| You made a mistake no question but it's too late to change that. What matters is what you do now. Take your baby to the vet!!! I hope that she is ok!!! |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | My son is a vet tech and he just finished vaccinating my litter, he said that you might have hit a nerve with the needle since you are not trained to do this, and she might be in pain because of that,if the vet checked her and she was ok, then he thinks that might be the reason, vaccines are very stressful for the puppy, so I also give them a pea size portion of nutracal for puppy it helps stabilize their sugar and energy.when they are done with the vaccines. I have one dog that had a little reaction to the Lepto vaccine, she kept scratching the area, I had to give her childrens benadryl for two days after , my vet was really puzzled because the area was a bit red but she kept scraching it, the benadryl helped a lot, i think your vet would have tell you if she needed something .. if you have any questions call them and ask before they close.. better safe than sorry.. hugs, and hoping your girl gets better fast... |

i took her right when it happened but they said she was ok. She actually got up a bit ago and peed and walked around and crawled on my shoulder and snuggled then I put her down and she went back to sleep. Hopefully alls it was was her sugar and the honey made it better. I cant get her to eat now though.

| Call your vet, and see if they can reassure you before they close. If they tell you they should see her, please take her in and look at your PMs. N |
