| I am so glad to hear they are narrowing it down! Cali is a doll baby You and your husband are amazing parents I saw someone else post about the vaccines. I get 1 vaccine at a time for Georgie. Our vet doesn't charge me an office visit everytime because they understand I would rather not do more than 1 at a time because of his size. I usually space them out a couple of weeks. I don't know if it helps but it's just something I have always felt comfortable with.

| Good for Cali. I wonder if it something that is just running it's course and may never be identified. Sounds like she is a patient of "House-the dog edition" Hey, maybe a good idea for an animal planet show! I'm pretty sure our shelter does not charge for an office visit. I do like to get her "check-up" so I took her to the vet for this year's shots. Would it be good next year to go to the vet for check-up and one shot (say dhlpp) and then go to the shelter a few weeks later for the bordatella? Assuming she needs both of them. Should I try to get the stuff in the dhlpp done separate? If done separate, all the needles, the injection site pain, and the psych damage of getting them isn't good either though. She is almost 10 pounds, so maybe separate won't matter as much. |

| UPDATE: This visit tonight wasn't as satisfying as this morning but I'm not complaining...just so happy to see her and spend time with her. We are all so exhausted. The good news is my baby walked tonight in the grass without the sling. She put weight on her back legs even though it was on her knuckles and she even moved each leg a little. Another good thing is that she peed & pooped while outside with us. I think she is tired of doing it on herself. If they take her outside, I'm sure she'll do it where she is supposed to. Gosh I'm exhausted. Hang with me a little while longer as the results should be back next week. We may never know the answer but I'm hoping we do. God bless...

The DHPP is usually fine all in one. Get that then a month later go and get the Lepto if that is necessary for the area where you live. These vaccines are powerful enough to immunize a 100 pound dog. Giving more than one at a time to smaller dogs can prove catastophic, and even if a bad reaction is caught at the vet's, there is no guarantee that every dog will survive it, even with getting the appropriate treatment done in time. Overvaccination is one thing that for the most part can be prevented.

| Those pictures just melted my heart. The sweet little darling! Your latests posts sound promising and I am praying for Cali that she will one day be her old self - totally healed, restored to full function and health. Thank goodness this doesn't seem to be going in the direction of a neuromuscular disease that is MS-like but does sound more AI. We're pulling for you and that precious little girl!

| UPDATE: It was a long day of driving and my little Mia, who was waiting at home, was having her own distress...not eating and moping around. It was great to get home to her but now I'm missing Cali so much. Our visits were so rewarding and she was so happy to see us. I hope she isn't sitting there waiting for us to make our evening visit. I expect her results to be back this week. This morning she walked up a hill by herself and then plopped down as she was tired. We scooped her up and I laid her on my lap and brushed her hair till it felt like silk. Then Katelyn came to get her so Dr. Shores & Dr. Ortinau (resident) could assess her. I'm so glad she is with this Neuro team as they are the best regarded around the South. I should get a phone call tonight....I'll update as soon as I can.

| Such wonderful news! Crying tears of joy, celebrating with you in each little victory. Don't tell God how big the mountain is. Tell the mountain how big your God is! Still praying, still believing!
