| Prayers for Reecy My Reecy boo fell off of a five foot deck today and was seriously injured. We brought him to the vet and found out what was wrong. Reecy broke part of his right rib and cracked another part causing it to hurt his lung. Reecy has a collapsed lung and broken rib. The doctor said he would need a specialist for surgery. Just to prepare him for the surgery would be $1500 dollars and that is something I can not afford, I am 18 years old. My only other option was to get him some pain meds and keep him well rested and hope it heals. If the collapsed lung does not heal soon the membrane between the two lungs will brake and cause non working lungs and my Reecy will not longer be able to breath. I am broken hearted. I have to feed him soft canned foods and keep him extra careful. I don't know how long the healin process takes but I'm trying to stay strong and hope for the best. If I could get and tips, or advise that would be awesome. And if anyone knows how long this healing will take |

| I am very sorry your baby is hurt, and I understand not having the money for an expensive surgery. However, to the best of my knowledge, your baby will suffer without the surgery for his lung and may not recover. Pain meds and bed rest are not enough. If I were in this position, I would surrender to a rescue to get my injured pup the help he desperately needs to heal and to not suffer. Once again, I am very sorry for you.

| Do you have family or friends that could help you, make a loan to you? There is something called "Care Credit" that you or a family member can apply for to spread out the payments.

| Poor baby, could you talk to your vet about a payment plan or maybe barrow from a friend or family member? Please call your vet, maybe they can help find a rescue in your area that can help your baby. I don't think pain meds and rest our going to be enough, this baby needs help now. I'm so sorry I know you are hurting too, but your baby needs help. |

| I just don't have family or friends who want to help. They don't know the feeling. |

| I would ask the vet if there was anyway that you could pay off his bill...care credit...work around his office etc. It is your responsibility as a pet owner to see that this pup gets the care that he needs...even if it means an expensive surgery. Ask friends and family members, even if you have to make them understand. If you're not able to take care of his medical bills, then I hope that you will contact a nearby rescue and see if they would be willing to help you out.

| I am so sorry your little has gotten hurt. I hope you will be able to get him treatment soon. Good suggestion from teacup0819 about asking the vet if you could work some for $$. Care credit is another good option. It allows you to pay over time. Try and ask your family for loans and contributions. You never really know unless you ask. This little guy really deserves the best chance for a normal healthy life. And I agree with Kristin, if you are not able to spend the money for care, please consider surrendering him over so he can get the proper medical treatment. Good luck with your decision.

| hoping for a solution I love close to the owner. I was hoping someone would know a rescue close to where we are. Southeast Missouri. I just got a message from the owner saying she has to put him down! I DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN! Can someone please send me a name and number of a rescue that could help this little boy before it is too late? I can take him myself if I need to. We are very close to parts of Arkansas and Tennessee. Please help!! I can't stand the thought of this little one losing his life because of money! I have called my vet and they will not accept payment plans. |

| I just spoke with the owner. She hasn't taken him yet. It's getting later and later in the day...I'm just sick over this. I could provide the transportation etc but, I am not in a position financially right now that I can help in that way. I have a male yorkie that is very teritorial or I could try to take him myself and see if I could find someone or an organization to help him. We need help FAST! |
